re: Star Wars: Battlefront III Wishlist [II]

Alright i got a LOT of suggestions

1.create a class: make a class with specific weapons you want.

2. instead a long death sequence, an optional one like COD 4 where you can either watch or skip it

3. more levels

4. the awesome ability to bring jedi's in space

5. ability to make CIS vs. Empire, Empire vs. Republic etc. etc.

6. the guys from the star wars animations, like Durge and the cool Elite clones

7. a planet will have space & ground battles

Oh! How about they make it keep the career stats, and every time you win a fame, you get credits to buy and make things like armor, guns, etc.
Also they make it so you can have friends on wifi

What i think would be great is that the makers of games should come to game places like these so they get ideas of what to put in their games.

I did send them a version of this wishlist that I compiled a long time ago, to both Lucasarts and Free Radical (the supposed designers of the next game) and didn't get much of a reply from either. =(
Seems they aren't too interested!

OK, I have typed up the entire thing so it is easier to read, and have updated all the suggestions. It is now organised into easier to see sections, and is completely ready for submission. I'll just have a look now where we can submit it.
Oh, and if you do see anything wrong with it, please let me know

Well I found this website, which says you can mail stuff to them in San Fransisco. Unfortunately, that is too expensive for me to post from here, so does anybody here live near San Fransisco, and can send this to them for a cheap price? I Can't seem to find an email adress, as that would be a far better way to send it... but i'll keep looking.

Forget that, I found their email adress. Should I send it now, or wait for abit longer. I'll wait 24 hours to see what everybody thinks I should do, and make a decision then.

Star Wars Battlefront III Idea List:

Overview: We would like to see someone leading 150 men into battle, when all of a sudden shots are fired and the place erupts with fire. A few grenades fly and trees fall on top of men. Dirt flies around and you get filthy. Men are on the ground getting healed by medics. Several Jedi emerge and start helping out and then an X-wing comes and clears the way for your troops. That’s the dream that is BATTLEFRONT 3!

Campaign Mode

When a single player is playing the campaign mode, they should have the ability to play the campaign as both the rebels and droids, not just the republic and empire. Having only one or two teams to play as makes the game boring and repetitive, and in order to keep the game exciting the user should be able to unlock other campaigns.

Firstly they start of with Rise of the Empire just like we have now in BFII, but the story should go all the way to Episode VI, where you unlock "Confederate uprising" as a campaign in which you play as the CIS, right up until their defeat. After completing that you then get "Birth of the Rebellion", where you play as the Rebels starting on Tantive IV. Finally, once you have completed all the campaigns you should be able to get a Victory Mode, where you get to play the same campaigns, but this time the Empire wins the Galactic Civil War, the CIS wins the Clone Wars; giving it an alternative ending to the story.

There should also be a Chronological story mode, from the Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi. Also, you need to make Harder and Longer missions because Galactic Conquest and the Rise of the Empire are just too easy to complete. There should also be other Era’s included in the game, such as the Mandalorian war and Jedi Civil War from KotOR. And finally, there should be more cut-scenes in the campaign mode.

Galactic Conquest

In Galactic conquest there should be some major changes to the way the game is played, to make it as much of a strategy game as it is a shooter. These are some ways in which you could change Galactic Conquest to make it more enjoyable.

For galactic conquest if you are attacking a planet, the cruiser should be visible up in the sky, with a command post on it, the only difference would be that you can't control the cruiser like in space battles.

In every Galactic Conquest more you should be able to purchase a “Manufacturing Facility” of some kind in which you place on one of your occupied planets. This can then be used to build up an army on that planet, which can later be moved into a fleet. You should also be able to build various defensive buildings on your planet, in case of an invasion. If you do however loose the planet, the enemy would gain control of your manufacturing plant and choose what they would like to do with it.

Once you have finished building your reinforcements, you can send this fleet to attack a planet. The enemy can either try to defend it, abandon it, or even send more troops in from another fleet or nearby planet to help the troops that were already fighting. However after each battle your fleet’s numbers don't regenerate. So if you had a fleet of 300 and you lost 250 of them, then the next time you try to invade a planet with that fleet you'll only have 50 reinforcements to fight with. This number can however be added to when reinforcements are combined from nearby planets or other fleets. The parts of your capital ship should also be important to the entire game. For example, if a ship’s engines are destroyed in a space battle, the player must pay to repair them or that vehicle won't be able to move about the game map.

Some other ways that Galactic Conquest could be improved is that the AI should make more intelligent decisions when making a move. If you just thrashed them on one planet they shouldn't respond by immediately sending another army in right afterward. Galactic Conquest should be more in-depth, like having the option to deploy a certain number of troops on a particular planet, so you do not loose your entire fleet. Finally, you should be able to see local civilians walking down the street, or fleeing from a battle, like the Jawas on Mos Eisley, but for many other stages too.

There should be a bigger choice of bonuses, or even army specific bonuses. These could be similar to that in the original Battlefront how after four victories you could blow up a planet, but instead you have to pay for the right to do so.

The Empire could have a Death Star (which would obviously be the most expensive bonus, but the most powerful too), and other groups could have other elite bonuses. Here's how the Death Star bonus could work: If the Empire uses the Death Star, the enemy’s chances of abandoning a planet could increase to 90%, or they could stick with the planet, but their troops could become weaker because they're supposedly afraid (their life might drain faster if they're shot). Or the planet, and everybody on it, could simply be destroyed.

The Bonuses in Galactic Conquest should be all the ones that are included in Battlefront 2, but also: Flu bug (Your enemies eat food that got them sick and started them with less health and Stamina.), Secret Agent (Your team will be able to capture Command Posts faster), Fallen allies (Your team remembers fallen allies and is motivated with increased damage, but does not overlap the "War Hero" bonus), Death Star (explained above) and Elite Engineers (All members on your team have the ability to fix there own vehicle, while Engineers also fix vehicles faster). Some of these bonuses should be kept permanently, but at a significantly increased cost.

New Features

Some New Features should be added, like a "Report Button” feature. For instance, if a player was a clone trooper far away from a command post and they see a damaged ammo droid, they can point it as if they were going to shoot it, then they can press the report button, so every engineer on their faction will have a yellow pointers like the Rise of the empire objective marker in their HUD, and therefore they know what to do. Or the player reports a tank and then all heavy troopers know where to go if they want to win their demolition awards. Recon Droids can scan an area and start reporting infantry, damaged machinery, enemy vehicles, turrets and all sorts of things, so other troops know what to do and where to take care. It would be useful for online players that do not have a head set, but also should work with AI.

Another small idea that could make the game leaps and bounds better would be the ability to change the weather and time of the battles. For example: in the past two Battlefront games, we've been forced to play on Geonosis in the middle of the day with the sun out and no rain at all. But why not add the ability to change it to night time and add in a rain storm while you're at it? And be able to change Kamino so that the sun is just rising and there is no rain.

There should also be “Create a Map”, “Create a Squad/Faction”, “Create a Trooper” and “Create a Hero” options on the main menu, so you can customize your game however you wish. Just for fun, it would be good to be able to customize a Jedi, for example The head of Yoda, the body of Obi-wan and the lightsaber of Count Dooku, all with the cape of Vader. It would also be good to make it so that you could change your weapons without changing your class. For example, you could trade a pistol for some health packs to make each unit have deeper inventory purposes. Another option on the menu could be to select the “winning victories” like in a custom Galactic Conquest, but for a single battle too; you could choose to make the victories include either “Battle Ends when reinforcement count is 0”, “Win when all command posts are taken” or both.

"Squad Commands" should also be added to the game, so you can send a AI team member to a certain point of the battlefield, instead of just telling them to follow you. You should also have squad commands, like in battlefront 1, but with space battles too. You can call up a squad of X-Wings behind you and fly in formation. It would then be possible to take on greater missions, like Death Star Space, where you could fly in as Luke Skywalker and bomb the death star.

It would be fun if you had the choice to manually fly your ship from planet to planet, and just explore the galaxy in a starfighter. Calling in drop supplies would be useful too, so when you run out of ammo or health and there are no droids around, you call to an ally in a flying vehicle and they get called to your position and drop supplies for you.

In many shooting games you are able to do a melee attack in close combat, which seriously lacks in the previous two battlefront games. This would make many situations easier, without wasting ammunition, if this was included.

The Profile Information should be more complete then it is, and should include things like how many command posts you have taken, Own Troops killed, Favorite Class, Favorite Weapon, Favorite Vehicle, Favorite Space Vehicle and number of Head Shots. It should also state things like Best tank buster, highest Traitor, Best Killing Spree, Best Public Enemy, longest camper, highest Bantha Fodder score, Best Survivalist and Best Dead Eye. There should also be another award, where if you take 3 command posts in one life time, you get a faster CP capturing bonus.

There needs to be a better ranking system. There was an extremely rushed one in Battlefront 2 which consisted of 4 ranks which were easy to get. Next time there needs to be more ranks and they are affected by you Wins and Losses. So if you have, let's say 20 Victories and 5 Defeats altogether, then you have one rank (let's say Lieutenant), but if you suddenly lose 5 or so in a row, then your rank will go down (let's say to Sergeant). And your rank should affect the color on your suit. The official canon way to tell a Clone's rank is by their color, so just get rid of this whole this color means you do this, system. And in an online game, whoever is the highest ranked person is the leader of that army for the battle.

In order to play some stages in Instant Action, you should have to unlock them in Story Mode first, and each Galactic conquest with the different teams should only be able to be used after first completing that section of the Campaign. Also, once you unlock a stage in instant action, you should unlock a mini-game with it played on that stage. For example, there should be a mini-game on Kashyyyk where any one team against any other team must capture the Oil Refinery, while the other defends. It should be any two teams, so you can remake the battle as you wish. Or on Tatooine, you could unlock a Pod-Racing mini-game, in which you play as Anakin and must win that famous pod-race against the dreaded Sebulba, or you can play as any of the other Pod-Racers from that race. Another Idea is on coruscate you can be the Jedi and see how long you can hold off the Clones before all your reinforcements are lost.

Also, the lie down function must be included in the third game, and should never have been taken out for the second one. It is vital for many parts of the mission, and is very useful when sniping.

The bodies of the dead should not disappear after a while, they should remain there for the entire level, just to show the amount of carnage left from the battle. However, if this does make the game run to slow, then it is better not to include it.

In BF3, the soldier switch function at command posts must stay, as it is very important in battle and is considered extremely useful. Being able to spend your player points on upgrades for weapons, armors and characters would also be an added bonus. Also, it should be possible to share ammo with other units the same type as you, so one rifleman could pass ammo to another. A novelty idea is that when you snipe a droid in the head, its head should fly off, instead of the droid just exploding.

One VERY important thing to include when making the next game is to please, Please, PLEASE change it so stamina and force powers are 2 separate bars for Jedi! It is very frustrating when you have just sprinted a long way, but cannot force push/pull anybody.

Levels

For fields, we would like back those from Battlefront I, including but not limited to Bespin and Rhen Var, along with those from BF II and several more if possible.

Since it is more than likely this will be on next generation consoles, we want massive combat fields with huge amounts of people playing on them. This means that at least double the size of the field and possibly three times or more the amount of men on the field, or more, to make it not only seem more full, but also with more action. As a result, please also raise the default bar for reinforcements to several times the given number. Make sure to leave extensive airspace for dogfights, with the return of flying vehicles on ground.

There should also be levels at sea, which could be Kamino or Mon Calamari, or some form of an underwater battle that uses submarines and underwater troops.

There should also be a Space Death Star stage, where you have to destroy it by flying inside and blowing up the central core, just like in the movie, but you can only do this when playing as Luke Skywalker.

There should be a lot more Hero Assault stages, as many as possible (if not every stage).
There should be more traps in the levels, and more levers that change objects in the environment around you.

The Shield Bunker in Endor should be destructible like it was in the original battlefront. Geonosis should be designed the way it was in Battlefront 1, including the techno-union ships and the LAAT Gunships. And there should also be two stages for every planet, like in the original Battlefront.

Every command post should regenerate some reinforcements over time. So having them is strategically more important that mere spawn points. You could also include elevators for use in multi-level fields that can be shutdown from the top. The return of native command posts (like the Tusken Raiders on the dune sea) should also be included.

The scenery should also be affected by the battle. For example, if an AT-TE shoots a cliff on Geonosis, some of the cliff should fall off, and eventually the entire cliff should break away. This would only affect that battle however and next time you visit that map it is back to normal. It should be different for Galactic Conquest though. If a cliff gets blown up in a stage on Galactic Conquest, next time you battle on that stage in the same Galactic Conquest, it should still be damaged like before. Or on Kashyyyk, if you man one of those giant particle cannons on top of the sea wall, and blow up the wooden barricades, the barricades should catch on fire and make a wall of flames, killing everyone who touches it.This would make it seem more realistic. In the city levels, it would be really fun to be able to really damage buildings, and in galactic conquest you go back to a semi destroyed city and there should be construction on the buildings with cranes and repaired framework if you battle there again shortly after destroying it. Also, dirt, mud and dust should grip to your characters outfits, and any buildings and things nearby.

We also want the return of the flying vehicles available on maps in Battlefront by all but disappeared in the second installment, along with, on some, a higher volume of tanks. You should be able to go from a ground battle to a space battle. Like on Yavin you could grab an X-Wing on the ground and go join the Space Battle above. Also, please give the Rebels and Droids a command vehicle. There should also be an infantry transport vehicle on ground battles.

The stages should include:
Alaris Prime
Alderaan

Vehicles

There should be lots of other Vehicles too, all the ones from the first 2 battlefronts, and also the flying Vehicles available on maps in Battlefront along with, on some, a higher volume of tanks. The traction on the speeders and tanks should also be better, because at the moment it is very hard to control with it sliding all over the place.

Also, please give the Rebels and Droids a command vehicle, apart from the LAAT gunship for the Rebels. This makes them lose in space battles against the more powerful ships. Also, they should have command vehicles on ground battles, like the other 2 factions do. The LAAT gunships should hold 4 positions with weaponry and about another 15 places for passengers, and those passengers should be able to fire out the side of it with their own weapons, like you see in Episode 2 and 3. Also, the LAATs should have ropes that the clones can slide down from, like in Ep 3 for a quick exit from the vehicle.

There should also be an infantry transport vehicle on ground battles. The AT-AT s should hold about 20 men, because definitely more then 2 men can fit in one, unlike in BF2. There should also be boats for stages that contain bodies of water.

With Starfighters on ground battles, every trooper should carry a smoke grenade type thing, where if they set it off, it turns red and can be seen from far away. This way all the starfighters in the area know that their teammates need help and can go and bombard the area. The smoke should be different colors for each faction, so that the starfighters can tell the difference about who needs help. If Starfighters on ground battles are brought back then the ceiling of the stage should be higher, allowing the user to fly much higher into the sky.

Vulture Droids should be able to launch Buzz Droids at passing vehicles. The Arc-170 should have a co-pilot, and there should be saboteur droids for CIS star-fighters, making the space vehicles more varied, instead of just the same thing with a different body. There should also be a choice to play in cockpit view for more realistic action

When a character enters or exits a vehicle, you should actually see him getting in instead of just appearing inside it, like in the Halo games. You should also be able to pull people out of vehicles, or throw a grenade inside killing the driver. Or you could even punch somebody of a passing speeder then hop on it yourself. It should also be possible to snipe the pilot while he is driving a vehicle too.

Finally, you should be able to ride on more animals like the Taun-Tauns on Hoth, but including things like the Varactyl which Obi-wan rides on Utapau and other similar animals.

Hunt Levels

Hunt Stages should include all the current ones but also the Geonosis Arena (Jedi against CIS and clones join later), Geonosis Plains (Clones against Geonosians), Naboo Royal Army against CIS battle-droids and the Gamorean Guards from Jabba’s palace (could be just Luke Skywalker against Gamoreans).

There should also be a massive battle, like the Hero Assault Mode, but where it is all the Hunt creatures battling it out, for example Wampaas against Ewoks. The re-enforcement count would have to be significantly different for all the teams to make it even (there would be more Wampaas then Ewoks), but the last remaining species wins.

You should be able to use the vehicles of the Native inhabitants too, so for the Kashyyyk hunt stage the wookiees should get those flying catamarans of theirs with the paper-like wings and on Geonosis the Geonosians should get their shuttles.

Hunt creatures should also be in normal battles, so there are three teams on selected stages. Or another way of doing it would be to add the units into a roster for that team, like Geonosians become available to play as for the CIS on Geonosis, they just get added to the roster of characters to choose. Or Gungans are available for the Republic on Naboo. There should also be more fun modes similar to hunt which are not real battles, but instead are just there for fun.

Space Battles

In space battles, we request multiple troop deploying vessels, like LAAT Gunships, with more options for commands in the air. Please include more types of fighters as well, such as a V-19 fighter. You should also be able to choose the color of your vehicles too, for example you could pick either a red or blue X-wing or a brown or silver droid star fighter.

The game should include droidekas and stormtroopers in space battles, but only the pilots and marines are able to fly ships. There should also be one person who gives commands in a capital ship, like which ship to fire at, whether to evacuate or not and other similar things.

We would like ships that actually have engineering sections and the like with NPC guards and workers in them, guarding and repairing the vessel, which do not count against reinforcements. We would also like more varying fields with different objectives. The interior of the ships should be larger, and more realistic. It would be great to have command posts on the frigates, so you could take over them or blow them to pieces (But make it a lot harder to destroy, and put on them better anti air/Space defenses). In short, we want to have battlefields inside the ships as well as in the air.

In a space battle, it should be possible to destroy sections of the enemy’s ship, with a whole new level of playability. It should be possible to take over sections of your enemy’s cruiser, like command posts. From these points it should be possible to lock down a certain section of you are having trouble capturing it, or if you are in the bridge you should be able to deprive oxygen from a section of the ship, killing everyone in that section. Alternatively, you should have the option to jettison that section of the ship into space, denying the enemy the turrets and star fighters they would get from capturing that section. If for instance the ship got bombed, and did some damage, a hole should appear in that part of the ship, and all the players running around in that sector should be sucked out into space.

You should also be able to pilot the main cruisers in space, and operate the giant battery turrets on the sides of them and fire at enemy ships, like in the Revenge of the Sith movie. If your capital ship is about to be destroyed you should be able to activate the escape pods to evacuate your troops. If it is about to explode or crash, you could fly your ship into your enemy’s capital ship so they get damages as well. If you don’t ram the enemy’s ship hard enough, you could accidentally snap your ship in half, so you are stuck in the hanger falling, trying rapidly to get into a starfighter to escape before you crash. These things would significantly improve space battles.

There should be more then one capital ship in some of the bigger space battles, where the number changes depending on the size of the map or the number of ships in that player’s fleet. And finally, the battle should be won when one faction destroys the others capital ship, rather then the default 180 point limit.

Heroes and Villains

There should be multiple Jedi in the fields, with two bars, one for force and one for stamina. DEFINITELY do NOT drain both from the same bar.

Every hero should have alternate costumes for some planets, like Luke Skywalker does for Hoth. Refine and improve lightsaber combat and seek out all the bugs in some of the Jedi that make them useless.

Once a Hero gets knocked down, he should get up faster, because it gives the other player more time to go and kill the knocked down character who doesn’t have a chance to retaliate.
Possibly, Jedi and Sith could block while lying on the ground, so if another lightsaber comes down to kill him, he can just block it and get back up. The priority for anything, no matter what you are doing, should be blocking. If you are attacking, but in the middle of the combo you block, the animation of the combo should stop immediately allowing you to block. If you jump, you should be able to block. If a light sabre hit you, you should be able to block. The only time you shouldn't be able to block something is when doing a sabre throw.

Lightsaber combat in this game should be similar to that in the Star Wars Revenge of the Sith game for the PS2. In this case, it should comprise of two attacking buttons, fast attack and strong attack. Let's suppose that the health bar gets divided on 3 hit points when talking about light sabre combat. So you can do three fast attacks to kill other Jedi, or you can do one strong attack and one fast attack; the strong attack counts as two fast ones. If you get hit by the enemy, you shouldn't get stunned, you should be able to block (If the enemy use a fast attack) or counter-attack (If the enemy use a strong attack) but you already lost the amount of health from the first attack.

For jumping attacks you could have a normal hit with the fast attack (Obi-Wan, Ki-adi-Mundi, Luke Etc), or one with area damage (Like Mace and Palpatine) With the strong attack. Now you could do combos like -Fast, fast, strong- resulting in the kind of combo you see in the game, or -Fast, fast, fast- for a more defensive combo, or -Strong, fast, fast- For a aggressive starting one, and so on. If you block a chop from the enemy he should be "Stunned" but with the ability to block or counter-attack depending on the combo you are going to use.

As now you have sacrificed one button for the secondary attack, the force powers: They should all be made by leaving a button pressed, and in combination with other one.
For Example:

L2 + Analogue stick = Force sprint

L2 + X = Force Jump

L2 + R1 = Sabre throw

L2 + R2 = Force push

And so on, you could have more than two powers using square, or triangle.

Jedi/Sith and Mercenaries/leaders characters as regular units, but cost much more, there can only be two per faction, and aside of it the HERO as an invincible NPC Like in the first game. For the others you could win a "Force regeneration" award when killing people instead of health regeneration. And finally, give them a normal health bar like all the other characters, not one that diminishes over time.

There should be a distinction between heroes and leaders. For example, Darth Vader is a hero, and Bobba Fett is a leader. Basically, all the Jedi would be heroes and would take more points to gain access to. So you deny a leader to save up for a hero. Some of the leaders could be Padme Amidala, Captain Panaka, Captain Typho, Jar Jar Binks, General Grievous, Jango Fett, Zam Wessel, Boba Fett, Bossk, IG 88, Dengar, 4 LOM, Zuckuss, Greedo, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca.

Incorporate Jedi into space combat, like Anakin and his Jedi Starfighter in the battle over Coruscant. If the Hero and Leader idea was to be used, they could have their own vehicles. For example, Padme would have Padme’s Yacht, Jango and Boba would have the Slave 1, Han would have the Millennium Falcon, Obi-Wan would have his Delta 7 Starfighter, Dooku in a Geonosian Sailor, Vader in Custom TIE and Luke in an X-Wing (but a better one then the normal ones.

Along with this, allow the player to make his own Jedi character. For example, a Twi’lek male with a double sided lightsaber, force wave and lightsaber throw for attacks would be entirely possible. Allow these characters, or default characters, to be played in an online massive assault field.

There should be a maximum of four heroes per battle, two Vs two, or two Vs one (not including hero assault modes. When a player accepts to be a hero, do not make them disappear from where they are. They should die or get to a command post to change. That way it won't count as a minus in the reinforcement meter.

Adding some NPC Jedi to regular battles would be nice, meaning the computer can play as heroes too. Normal Jedi knights, Sith lords, dark Jedi and mercenaries should be used as regular troops for factions, besides the famous heroes, but to choose them you need many points, or the "general" rank to use them.

The heroes in the game should include all the ones from Battlefront 2, but a few others too. These others should include Durge , Asajj Ventress, Kit Fisto, Mara-Jade (Empire), Qui-Gon Jinn (Republic), Ben Kenobi (Obi-wan in a different outfit for stages such as Mos Eisley and the Death Star), Good Anakin Skywalker for Republic, Shaak Ti (Republic), Plo Koon (Republic), Stass Allie (Republic), Aurra Sing (CIS), Saesee Tiin and Ferus Olin.

When these special characters appear on a stage, you should have a choice of which you would like to use, according to who was there in the storyline. For example, on Hoth you should be able to pick Luke, Han, Chewy or Leia, since they all appeared there during Episode Five.

Non-Player Characters

For AI, give it the ability to design group tactics, identify yours, and increase it's intelligence in general. For some of the more obvious character models, such as droideka and bothan spy, overhaul the AI on it and make a new one that does not wander around without its shield up or stand and do nothing in a corridor.

They should also be able to snipe properly, because it is common to see an AI sniper run into the middle of a battle with his sniper rifle. When this happens, it is a great loss for the team, and their reinforcement counter drops, which could mean the difference between a win and a loss.

If a player commands an AI to follow them, they shouldn't stick that close to the player, instead follow from certain distance, and do not copy the player’s exact movement, so leaders can actually LEAD troops without killing them.

They should not just attack the human player automatically; they should attack every other character equally, and not always home in on the human. If you are a sniper, and you take one shot at an AI, every single character on the field turns and shoots at you. That needs to be changed.

In space battles, they should also be able to board the enemy capital ship, like humans can. Give the AI back the ability to take command posts, and they should be able to play as Heroes and Villains if the human player chooses not to.

And finally, MAKE THEM SMARTER!

Units

For the troops themselves, improve the commands available so that you include more troops in your command. Not only that, but make it so that you can only order them to go after the enemy if you want them to. Otherwise, they have to follow you.

Instead of making the player glow in red with beams all around you when you get the War Hero Bonus (Which is really bad for camouflage) you should get another type of armor when upgrading your profile that you start unlocking, then you can personalize your soldier with new helmets, other chest plates and so on.

A "create your squad" Feature should be included. That way you can choose to be the general of a storm trooper legion, you can choose your squad colors, squad name, squad's armor and your leading general hero. That way you could make online clans to face empire Vs empire matches, or CIS Vs rebels, and so on.

Also, keep the voices used for the characters in BF2; the actors did a good job in this game. However, increase the variety of things said, so it seems like they are always saying different sayings.

There should be recon droids that are able to move in any direction, like a jet trooper. In order to accommodate for this advantage, you could take out their ability to shoot, it is a droid used for reckoning, not killing. Make sure you take Jawa’s out of Mos Eisley CTF, because it is really frustrating when one of them gets the flag and you loose points when you kill it.

When it comes to the Bothan Spy, remake some of his more annoying attributes, such as his cloaking ability not working if an NPC sees you. Same for droidekas, they need to be improved. There could be a special unit for each planet/battle. Maybe you could make a different clone commander for every level, like Bakura for Mygeeto and others too.

You should also be able to create a soldier of your own, where you can edit their species, gender, faction, armor, weapons and equipment. You buy the items with the points you earn and your soldier gets unlocked in battle after you earn a certain amount of points.

There should be uniforms specific to certain planets, such as the clone trooper are orange on Utapau, Maroon on Mygeeto, Yellow on Felucia, Red on Mustafar and Blue on Coruscant. This should go for heroes too, such as Han's camouflage coat on Endor, and white snow jacket on Hoth. And make sure that the snipers are camouflaged, so they can go about sniping easier.

When your character dies or gets shot, a burn mark should appear on his uniform, along with blood stains. Or when he gets wet or dirty, that should also show up to add some realism to it. The troops should have the ability to grab onto a cliff if they fall off in order to save themselves.

Also, there should be new factions from outside the films such as the mandalorians/death watch. There should be Arc Troopers the red command skirt, twin commando pistols, grappling hook, missile launcher and specialized grenades. There should also be a stealth unit, possibly the Shadow Utapau Clone Troopers, which has the Bothan Spies invisibility ability, but has silent weapons. To make up for the silence, they can have less ammunition. They are completely black with just a little bit of white and grey, and have dark red eyes. Magnaguards should have an electro-staff instead of a grenade launcher, like they have in the movies, but should still keep their bulldog as their second primary weapon.

The units should include all the current ones, plus new units such as commandos (rebellion commando, storm commando, republic commando, etc) like the magnaguards, arc troopers, scuba troopers, sand troopers, space troopers, radtroopers, magma troopers, flame troopers and marines for ground battles.

Weaponry

Some troops should carry weapons such as rail guns, a good flamethrower, a Reciprocating Quad Blaster, an electric lance and concussion grenades. Return the fusion cutter as a secondary weapon instead of removing the blaster, and it should be able to be used to repair vehicles from the inside. Every troop should carry a melee weapon (like a vibro-axe), or have a melee attack. There should be weapons being upgraded through your troops with credits, or extra stamina for them all.

The sniping should be improved, because whenever you shoot one shot, everyone on the field knows where you are, and the AI’s start running around in circles. In BF3, the trail line from the sniper shot should not exist, in return for the shot doing less damage. Also, you should be able to control how far you zoom in, instead of just two distances possible. And a head shot should be deadly, with any weapon! Because you cannot live without a head…

Landing mines should take some time, maybe like the time you need to reload a blaster, that way people wouldn't hang around tossing mines like crazy online. They are defensive traps, not an attack devise. And for strategy maters, don’t make them glow red. Also, the detpacks explosion should be a lot deadlier, if you detonate it right away after tossing it you should die, as every one else in about 10 meters around. And the same thing goes for time bombs. You have five seconds to get away from the charge. So make calculations, the explosion should be as big as the perimeter a normal trooper can walk in 3 seconds. There should be a detonator as a secondary weapon for L2. And the detpacks should not just disappear if you don’t explode them for a while; they should remain there until you are ready to use them.

The weapon used for the Jet Troopers should need charging before you can shoot, because it gives them an unfair advantage otherwise. The rocket launchers and starfighters should be able to lock onto enemy targets from much further distances then they can, so the user doesn’t have to run right up to the enemy to lock on.

You should also be able to pick up weapons from dead troops and use them yourselves. In all, vary current equipment and give us more of a choice for each trooper. If you swap weapons, or pick one up, you can, for example, put a blaster pistol to replace your auto turret and then you can wield duel pistols. There should be a melee attack for all weapons, and grenades should stick to your enemies like in the Halo series.

We appreciate that you won’t be able to use all of these ideas, or maybe even any of them. If you do use any of these ideas, we believe that it would make the game much more enjoyable.

This is basically the letter UWD sent.
