Glitchy Movement

Any time that I'm on xbox live, holding down buttons or having a scop zoomed causes my character to slowly move. For example if I'm sniping near a cliff, my character will walk off of it automatically...

Also, if I'm a droideka and I go into ball mode, I can't turn! I can go forward/back, but if I try to turn with the right stick the screen just spazzes out and the droid just shakes.

I'm playing on a 360 with wireless controllers. Is that the problem? I don't think that I still have live on my old xbox to test it...This game is too awesome to get ruined by some crap like this.

re: Glitchy Movement

Yah, your 360 is the problem. We called it '360 lag' online, and everyone hates it, but everyone is forced to deal with it in a room created by someone who's using an XBox 360. Basically if you input any control, you'll move forward and to the right slightly, but while your character is moving, it won't happen (obviously Droidekas are an exception, I didn't know that). This means that in a space battle while flying a starship you will have no 360 lag because the starship is always in motion.

There is a way to avoid it in non-space battles, but only if you play in servers created by players using regular XBoxes. All the rooms you create (unless you have/buy an XBox), will have the 360 lag. So yah, just find a popular room that's made by someone with an XBox, I know there's at least one conquest room that always has like 10 or more people in it and has no 360 lag.

re: Glitchy Movement

Oh wow that sucks...badly. i always just use the quickmatch thing, so I guess it's a crapshoot.

Thank you...so tere is no way to actively stop this other than playing on my old xbox? and making sure noone else is on a 360?

That sounds like something that they would have fixed by now:(

Also, if i become a member here later will I get to keep my name?

re: Glitchy Movement

Also, what do you mean by "room?" do you mean a playlist that someone made? I've always just used the quickmatch option, honestly did not even look at the other things to see if you could look at games before joining.

re: Glitchy Movement

Sorry for the extremely late reply, you probably won't even be checking this but anyways.

Yah by room I mean a playlist. If you go to... I think it's called Optimatch, and just skip by the next screen with every option set to 'Any' you will then see a list of all the playlists or 'rooms' that players have created and you can select any one you want to join.

Your ping (lagginess) will be on the right of each room, so only join rooms with 4 or 5 green bars if you want minimal lag. The room's stats like how many AIs per team and what map is being played and stuff are all down at the bottom of the screen when you highlight a room.

So yah, just look for a room with a lot of players in it (every room should be named after it's creator and will list the current and maximum number of players beside it) and join, popular rooms with more than 4 maximum players usually don't have 360 lag.
