Older volumes of the competition can be found here: [One][Two] I encourage everyone to thoroughly read through this entire post, and do so often for details and information. Without further ado, let's get acquainted! Staff!The following members are the staff of this competition, and thusly they deserve your respect. Don't worry though! We generally don't bite unless aggravated, and we're more than happy to help with anything you may need! Feel free to click on our names to be linked to a Personal Message to the person you clicked on, if you have any questions, comments, concerns or generally just want to talk! Hosts:FourthBeat, Artirtico The Amazing and Awesome Third Assistant Judge We Love So Much:WhiteGold Rules!Unfortunately, to ensure that the competition runs smoothly, certain rules are required. Don't worry - they're nothing too drastic or weird! They're just simple rules which will keep the competition in line and will allow for a fair contest. Please read them carefully, to avoid having your own sprite disqualified! Sprites are to be posted in .PNG format. This is the best quality for saving sprites, and will ensure your sprite looks its best. If you post sprites in other formats, you risk having the quality be damaged. Sprites in other formats will be judged, though if the quality is poor your mark will be lowered. Do not enter more than one sprite per round. You get one shot per round, so make sure you're completely certain you want to enter a sprite before you submit it. Under no circumstances are you allowed to change your entry. You are allowed to edit the post with your entry in it, to fix coding or add information, such as the sprites you used in your entry. Under no circumstances are you allowed to change your entry. Obviously, your sprite must follow the theme posted by the judge. If your sprite is borderline, it may still be judged but get a lower mark. Sprites which do not follow the theme will not be judged, however some judges will still give you feedback. If you post random sprites, you will be directed to a sprite gallery where you can post any sprite you wish. Flaming, spamming, and other disturbances will not go unpunished. Do not flame others, and do not post useless posts. If either of these go on after you receive a warning, you could very well be removed from that theme's judging, or you could receive a ban from entering future rounds depending on the severity of your offense. Causing fights and refusing to comply with judge's orders after a fight has been resolved also may lead you to disqualification or banishment. In this thread, FourthBeat and Artirtico have the final word. Please only critique sprites when the creator asks for it. "C+C" or "Comments and Criticism" are sometimes asked by spriters, and other times, not. If they ask for it, please feel free to give constructive advice to them. You are allowed to give C+C to anyone and everyone, as decided by the ruling of Minirizzle, however this is rule is against the liking of the judging staff. Be polite, and hopefully you can help others improve while improving yourself. If you want C+C, only ask for it once. If you don't get it here, there are many other sprite gallery threads full of people willing to help you! Unfortunately, the judges are real people too. This may not exactly be a rule, but the judges are real people too. We go to school, have friends, have families, and yes, we have lives outside of the internet (Well, Artirtico doesn't, but that's beside the point ;D Just kidding). Sometimes reality interferes with judging, and you just need to learn to suck it up. Reality is much more important than this thread, and hopefully you'll agree. If judging is late, then we're sorry, but it will be done at the first chance we can. Asking a thousand times "When's judging!?!???" will not make it happen any sooner, and rather annoys us, so just be patient. Respect everyone. Treat others how you want to be treated, and they will do the same. Tournaments!The Pokemon Pearl Halloween Tournament has come to an exciting end. For full details, see the Tournament Post below the Hall of Fame.  Grading!Each round will be judged on a scale from A to F. The absolute best score a sprite can receive is A*, which is when a sprite is flawless. Pluses (example: A+) and Minuses (example: B-) are given to differentiate between similar grades. The top three scores will be given points each round, and added to the scoreboard below. In the event that more than one spriter receives a winning grade, both will receive points. Scoreboard!Each round, the spriters who come in first, second, and third will receive three, two, and one point each. The cumulative scores are shown below. Coloured names and animated icons indicate top three status in the Halloween Tournament.  Hall Of Fame!Here we are! Welcome to the Pearl Hall of Fame! Any sprites receiving grades from A- and above will be posted here along with their creator's name. Sprites are alphabetized in each category by creator, for convenience. If your sprite's link has a tendency to fail, it will be removed. If, for whatever reason, you wish to have one of your sprites taken out of the Hall of Fame, then simply notify the judge who posted the Hall of Fame and they'll be happy to remove it for you.  Today we mark the day that is Jake's (Our 3rd favourite judge here) Birthday, on behalf of myself, the judges in Diamond and our contestants Happy Birthday and we hope you have a great one.
