Judging!
This week's theme was to sprite a character from a manga. It's a great way to show off your favorite characters, and I'll have to admit, after judging this I'll have to go check out some of these series.

B- This certainly was quite a challenge to sprite. Looking at the references Google's giving me, I think even I'd have trouble with it. The biggest problem I'm having with this sprite is that I'm not entirely sure which way his(her?) body is facing. The clothes would indicate that we're looking at him/her from a side angle, though if that were the case, the shoulder should be farther forward. It gives the impression that we're looking at him/her (seriously, I can't figure out which) from a three-quarters angle with the clothes swept off to the side. The other issue I'd like to bring attention to is the skirt (I'm sure it's a Japanese article of clothing but I'd probably get it wrong.) The folds should go all the way up, instead of stopping half way. Otherwise the sharp folds look out of place. And for one final nitpick, it looks like the back gauntlet is in front of the shirt.

A- That is some scratch work there. For the most part, this is nicely done. The biggest issue I have is that the light source on the neck doesn't match the light source on the face. The neck appears to be lit from the front, while the face appears to be lit from the left. Other than that, a just have some lesser concerns. The details on the hat, for instance, would look a little better if they made more of a pattern (it kind of looked like a jaguar print on the reference) rather than random pixels. Also, his pecs look big. I know that they're supposed to be rather large, but they just look a bit too big to me.

A Remember kids, anorexia is bad for you. Anyway, the inherent problem all around is that some of the details blend in, though I'll admit Misa's outfit isn't exactly helping out that problem. I'm not entirely sure what's going on with her skirt, is that supposed to be shading around her thighs?
Also, doesn't Misa have long hair?

C+ I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you're not much into the anime. All the references I can find for Kazuki show that he has brown hair and a red shirt. Obviously you wouldn't know this if you just read the black and white manga, so I won't make a big deal out of it. What I will make a big deal out of is the outline. There's too much black outline pretty much everywhere except the arm. There's also not enough shading on the arms, feet, and hair. On the other hand, there's too much highlight on the back lance-thing, which not only makes it look a bit overshaded, but it also contrasts the front lance-thing which has no highlight on it whatsoever. Also, the hair is a bit too wild. It shouldn't stick out that much, except for the highlighty bit.

New Theme: Fuse three Pokemon together that make a type triangle. I know I'll be bombarded with questions, so for all intents and purposes, a type triangle is any Pokemon who's super effective against another Pokemon, who's super effective against another Pokemon, who's super effective against the first Pokemon. We don't care about resistances and immunities, so the example Psychic/Dark/Fighting would work.
Also, for the sake of simplicity, if a Pokemon has duel types, just pick one to use in the type triangle.

geez, i still don't get it,
i understand we have to fuse the type triangle,
but does our final product have to represent all three of the types? or do we just have to use the three pokemon to make whatever we make?

Hey guys, I've finished my entry! Here it is: It is a Dark ---> Psychic ---> Fighting ---> Dark type triangle. I used Darkrai, Machamp, Alakazam, and Tyranitar (Recolor).

Are we allowed to edit our posts if it has our entry in it? Just wondering because I forgot to put that I also wanted C+C on mine!
