~JUDGING TIME~

Well it's a great pleasure for me to judge at the contest where I started spriting(even if it is just a trial). I'd like to thank SM for the opportunity to do this. Anyway, onto the sprites. This is certainly the largest number of sprites i've ever judged in my short judging career. I'll admit it, I dont think trainer sprites are my strong point but judging them regardless cant hurt. My judging usually isnt this short its just I'm a bit strained for time and as I said trainers arent my forte'. Anyway...

[Ophion] Well Ophion, certainly an interesting choice of character to make a sprite on. Shading looks okay and the parts are fused pretty well. The only problem I can see is the legs being far too big for the body, they are far out of proportion. The bolts in the neck also look too big and the head, too small..Thats really all that is letting you down. [C+]

[NickAlert] Uhmmm... Interesting. The sprite is pretty good overall and Jun's face on that sprite brings a smile to my face whenever I see it. The shading on the left arm needs work as you have rotated it. Oh and the left arm is also a lot thicker than the right, they should be about the same thickness. [B-]

[Knukles Da Echidna] For some reason the sprite, dispite being in .png format, is blurry. You might have tried to change it from .jpeg/.gif to .png but once the quality is lost via jpeg rape it can never be returned. Always remember to save as .png in the future. The colors are pretty bright and dont look very natural and the fact that you used an older gen's(?) sprites didnt help.[D]

[JosiePika] Well Josie, your definantly becoming a better spriter, this is evident in this sprite(and many of your other recent sprites.). It's hard for me to find a flaw, really. There needs to be some shading changes under her arm(the one at her waist) as it currently has no shadow. Other than that it's a really great sprite, well done. [A]

[Pokefan 2000] I'm not sure how to grade these or even if i should judge them but oh well. The colors look pretty good on the trainers but the outlines shouldnt be all black. There really isnt enough done on either so you cant get much higher than a C-. [C- or DQ]

[Arcliff] This sprite is pretty average, you really should steer clear of such dark colors, this is because it will cause shades to either blend and look flat or stick out from one another making it look bad. Anyway, this is essentially just a recolor so you cant expect a very high mark with so little done. [C-]

[Vollando] The sprite certainly looks like Micheal Jackson, with the stance and all, but the arm that is pointing to the viewer seems to be lost in the shirt due to the similarities in color. The hat needs a bit of a re-shade and looks as though it isnt on his head properly. [B-]

[joekikas] Youve definanlty made improvements since I last judged this sprite, most for the better. The fire, where you've scratched on the bottom, looks very unnatural as fire has a more fluid nature to it. The spikes where the fire starts on the head are a bit too big at the moment, they might benefit from a change. Overall a pretty good sprite. [B]

[Megamaster37] An alright sprite here, the use of an older gen trainer isnt really a wise move but it dosnt look too bad. Not too much is done though, besides a recolor and some minor edits. [C]

[Lizz] I'm not sure who the character you based the sprite off is but I think the sprite looks pretty good. Although the tunic looks a bit too square and the shading needs to be redone. The arms look a bit bulky but overall this sprite is pretty good. [B-]

[FourthBeat] Jeeze FB, you really do make it hard for the judges. It's hard for me to find a flaw here, the sprite is really well done and is at the standard one might expect of an official gamefreak trainer sprite. [A+]

[ArcadianSky] Nice sprite, the colors work well and are very "soft". But you need to use some black for the outlines. Also, I cant really see the right eye. [A]

[SSBB Crazy] This is a really simple sprite, you've conected her torso with her waist too far back so she looks as though she is falling backwards. [C+]

[bgg1996] Bgg, the sprite really needs to be re-shaded, the shading on the shirt is really poor. the colors also look similar to paint defaults, this is a real nono. Oh and I dont think the pokeball should be on fire. [C-]

[NFS_Street_King] Not a bad sprite. there arent too many problems but that said there isnt too much done. But what is dont looks good. There needs to be a dark line between her thighs though as right now they connect.[B]
