'The outline sucks >=O' Would actually be considered flaming. True, it does get the point across, however these things should be taken in a gentle nudging manner. You start reacting to people like that and they'll get discouraged and not want to continue.

CC does consist of finding flaws, yes, however you are supposed to suggest ways to improve them as well. Such as for outlines 'Try to watch how sharp your angles and turns are, they should be a bit more smooth so it looks like it flows naturally together' would be an example of that.

Anyway, Pokemon are fictional characters, true, in the games and anime they have a basis of what they are 'supposedly' supposed to look like, however someone's take on them is up to their opinion of it. Personally, to use an example, I prefer to make Charizard more bipedal with a slimmer body and longer wings. It's how they view the Pokemon that's the beauty of fictional things. If someone wants to give Raikou retractable claws than go for it and give him retractable claws!

I never said anyone's work was perfect, however, when I suggest ways of improving I try to help in the improving as well rather than picking stuff out. Not even the offical spriters of Pokemon are perfect, I can provide multiple examples of that. Such as the fact in Lugia's sprite for d/p part of the first frame still appears in the second frame up by his horn at the back of his head.

Weavilax we currently do have 3 judges, so I'll talk it over with them. But, until we lose another judge I don't think 4 judges is a good idea. I feel its best to have a low number and when nrock became inactive Eclipse took the role of the last judge.

Also is that sprite an entry? If so what pokemon is it?

ok i looked back through the hall and yes Weavi you're a good spriter but by your posts i can tell you'd be a terribley (however it's spelled) and harsh judge (just like splicer)
And we don't want another splicer incident
but that's just my oppinion, anyway

It's pidgeot with Moltres additions. I pieced together the flaming wings, but all in all, I'm pretty pleased with the result.

It's funny how one person coming onto the thread can make such an impact. I mean seriously, Last time it was when that pokesplicer guy judged and gave some bad judgments. Everybody freaked. Now it's this guy giving harsh criticism. It's just funny.
