It's been a while since I played, but I think it is just when the opponent can't get past you and smashes into something without you even needing to push them.

it means you "psyched" someone "out", it's more common in Burnout 3, less in revenge.. if you played games like R:Racing Revolution, every driver would have this tension bar above their car, by driving near them, you cause a lot of pressure and nervousness on them, and eventually they screw up.

So that's what Psyche-Outs are all about? Driving near an enemy to make 'em nervous luring them to screw up? I gotta say that it's a tactic that can help you in the toughest of the situations.

I have never had a psyche-out while behind a car in Revenge. The only psyche-outs i have been able to do is when a car is right behind me and I'm headed towards a crash and pull away letting the other car crash into it. Kinda like in the movies when the person is behind someone and can't see whats ahead of them and the lead car veers left or right when the second car doesn't and crashes. Most of the time for me it is at the beginning of a race when the 5th place car trys to crash me right off the bat.
Ok, to any one who has read this I retract my statement. Just the other day i caused a psyche-out while behind another car. Still, I think the most common(for me atleast) are caused from being in front. This message was edited by NDAWIND on Mar 23 2009. | |
