in the new january issue of PSM (playstation magazine) they interviewed several developers about their plans for the up coming playstation 3, one of the developers was Naugty Dog studio director Evan Wells. Right under his name it says "NEXT UP: A big PS3 secret" then the last question they asked him in the interview was...

We have not announced the project that we are developing currently, but I think that it is safe to say that you have not seen the end of Jak and Daxter.

I seriously doubt there will be another game coming out for the PS3. If they were to make another installment, they should atleast make it for the PS2, being that the PS3 is being released late next fall.

Well there obviously is going to be another Jak & Daxter game released on the PS3 Jak66 as a developer of the Jak & Daxter series said so.

And yeah, great news.

Awesome! I hopefully they will release some more information in the new year. Geez i'm pumped now. I can't wait for the ps3 either. I need a job so I can get one when they come out.

Wonderfull NEWS!!!! Jak66, why on EARTH would you want another Jak game on the PS2 when the PS3 will look,sound,be better?!?!?! Out with the old...in with the new!!! I will be bying that magazine this month just so that I can read it for myself.

Hold on everyone, he didn't say that the next Jak and Daxter game is definatly on PS3...don't get too excited just yet.

Although, a Jak game on the PS3 would be great. Just imagine how cool Jak and the others would look! And wouldn't it be cool if when you fall in the sand in the wasteland you get sand on your gear?! That would look awesome...and make that sewerage pipe in Jak II and Jak 3 even more fun...(For those that don't know, in Jak II and Jak 3, in the port, swim around and you will eventually find a sewerage pipe spurting poop.)

the graphics would be definately insane, just imagine how BIG that they could make the levels, the new blu-ray discs that the ps3 is supposed to use hold about 50gigs max meaning that games on ps3 could get as much as five times bigger, imagin the wasteland...x5!!!!!!

The graphics arn't a big deal to me. Imagine Jak 3 and Jak X combined. They would have enough room on the disc. All the platforming of Jak 3 and the sweet cars of Jak X in one game with a brand new story. I get excited just thinking about what they could do.

Could they give Jak bigger ears and ear wax?! I hope so. Wouldn't it be cool to see everyone reloading as well? Seeing Jak rip out that empty eco canister and replacing it, small pits of eco flying off the gun and a "fffzzzt" noise. The amount of detail would be incredible.

IT wouldn't be the first time i've waited a few years for another game in a series *cough*kingdom hearts 2*cough*. Maybe it will be like half life lol. Wasn't it like 8 years between the first and second one?

Hopefully Jak will stick with the PS2 for the time.. PS3 will be too expensive to buy right away
