Again, you have spam, bypassing filters. Just anyone can join and those joining would be better suited in Loungin'.

And most of you found the IRC a bit of a problem with the attidues and rules.....the in game clan chat is 100 times worse with it's lack of rules and major attitudes.

It doesnt even need to be generals, captains would be fine, unless ACY has only set Generals to kick abilties.

The problem is there are so many members, and at best 3 Generals on at a time, as soon as they go, the spam and by passing becomes the hot topic. Theres been a number of times when theres been no Generals and it gets really bad. Sometimes we've had to ask them to come in i think lol.

Neo_Chat's Friends List


While I was hoping we wouldn't need to use Friends List access-only for this channel, from what people have told me there have already been a couple of problematic non-neoseekers joining. While I will first try to increase the number of Captains and Generals to cover all activity, if it comes to it I may have to lock the channel to anyone except those on Neo_Chat's friends list.

In preparation for that, if you join the channel and find that you do NOT have a smiley face next to your name, please PM me your Runescape screenname. Then, the next time I get on the Neo_Chat account, I will add you to the list. If I am currently on (as either Neo_Chat or K_Bull) please respond quickly when I ask for your Neo name.

Notice to Generals and Captains: If someone refuses to give their Neoseeker username in-game, takes too long to respond or makes some comment like "Hang on while I find it", feel free to go ahead and kick them. If they do present a valid Neoseeker name, please forward it to me so I can add it to the list.


Generals and Captains


In an effort to have the channel covered at all times by at least one person who can kick users, I will be promoting all Player Moderators to Captain status, in the mean time looking for more hand-picked Generals. While currently that's only Onilink as the other Pmods are already Generals, any further in-game promotions will effectively be automatic promotions in the channel.

If someone is misbehaving while there no-one is online to remove them, try summoning someone on IRC (I and Kjgmusic have summon scripts, Zamm5 and Sonic frequent the channel). If no-one responds to that, take a screenshot of the offense and PM it to me, so that I can place that user on Neo_Chat's ignore list.

dude jagex went too far on this idea. runescape is turning into the game of 2morrow when its supposed to be in the past! it makes it seem too modern now

Yeah it's getting "too modern". If you say it like that then that would mean Pming would be taken out of the game because there's no way to talk to someone at another part of the world..
