Runescape was my first MMO, I played it for a bit in classic, was gone for a few years, and then started playing again, on and off, a month here and there. Apart from bots and occasional glitches, dupes and bugs slipping through, I felt that there was a even playing field. When it came to old school grinding fun, Runescape was the best for me.

This update really saddens me, because whoever is in charge is ruining a game with such a long and proud history. There is no way to rationalize it. Being able to buy your xp in this fashion ruins the game, for the exact reasons stated in their own RWT rules section.

I've had my membership running for months even while I wasn't playing, because I liked the game, and I knew I could count on it providing me tons of distractions when I did return to it. Canceled after this update.

I lol'd. The amount of money you'd even need for it to be a noticeable difference with xp is inane. The same people bitching about this and blaming this venture interest company are hilarious.

Bro, Squeal helped me get 80 Summoning. I didn't buy spins, but just from doing quests and playing a lot the past few months really added up. The cosmetics are also pretty nice. The monkey mace and hats, not to mention dragon ceremonial in particular, are all nice rewards.
Jagex is (still) a bunch of greedy liar *bleep*s.
Wahhh, Jagex is becoming a bunch of Jews! They're a company that has to make money and in the current economy, they're *bleep*ing *bleep*s for trying to make an extra buck and following what many other popular mmorpgs are doing! Wah!

The only people seriously bitching about Squeal at this point in the game are the little teenagers who are probably newfags bandwagoning. If you hate Squeal so much, don't use it or go play a different game. Sorry if Jagex *bleep*ed up and cosmetic clothing/animations make you so furious that you have to express your rage on the internet. The rest of us will enjoy the occaisonal bonus lamp just for logging in or some nice cosmetics without paying a cent.

If everyone got 60 (f2p) to 360 (p2p) (roughly) spins suddenly, it would seriously imbalance it compared to giving everyone 1-2 daily. I don't know why people don't realize this.

Haha ok, one of the few things that i'm fine with is the one thing you think im mad about. You sir, are the retard. I could care less if they added a thousand cosmetic items, those don't affect the game barely at all. It's funny though because in your post you supported what I said without you even knowing it by saying it helped you get 80 summoning. That is really the only reason I hate the wheel, because it makes it so everyone can buy spins for exp. (Before you get all mad, I realize you didn't buy spins, you just agreed that it is an easy way to get exp)
Anyways, I don't care about anything on the wheel except that you can buy spins to get more exp. I wouldn't care about anything on the wheel if it was exactly the same without being able to buy spins, because then everyone would have (or have the chance to get) the same amount of spins as everybody else. Gp is easy to get so I don't really care about people buying extremely over-priced gp (even though Jagex had to edit their own rules to allow themselves to sell spins) and I don't care about cosmetic rewards, mostly just that you can now get 99 in all skills, relatively quickly, without actually doing any work on the skill.

Are you really going to insinuate that spending several hundred dollars/euros on 1+ 99s is...gamebreaking? The amount of money it would even take to max out an account is ridiculous and buying a maxed account would be hundreds, if likely not thousands of dollars, cheaper. To even suggest that, which is what your post is saying, particularly in the last line, is full retard.

Play it nice ladies . Anyway, I kinda like the Squeal of Fortune to be honest. Adds a little to my near empty bank to say the least .

I never said it was reliable or efficient, I said that if you spend the money you can get it relatively quickly. Obviously you don't know the meaning of that word. I shouldn't have said all skills, obviously there are some skills that would be faster to do yourself, but some of the harder skills that take longer can be maxed faster with SoF and without doing anything but buy spins. So people can get whatever 99's they want, then if they have spare cash they buy the more difficult 99s with SoF.

Wyan1234 Yeah everyone is still using the SoF daily spins because daily spins aren't the problem. It's buying spins.That's why it's *bleep*ed up that Jagex would put those statistics up when obviously everyone is gonna take the advantage given to them that everyone else gets as well. They put the free spins there just so they could say that everyone likes it because everyone uses it.

The point is, I have nothing against the SoF itself, it would be awesome if everyone just got their daily spins and got spins from monster drops and skilling. Buying spins is where it crosses the line imo. Granted it's not a gamebreaker, it's still an unfair advantage and breaks one of their own rules.

That's where you're wrong though DC Sniper I bought 75 spins the first day they came out out of curiosity. I got like 200k total xp, about 120k in the skill I wanted. It took about 20 mins to go through and use all of the spins and claim the xp from the lamps.
