From my limited experience of the CC (I login as King Malc II), I've got to say it's rather amusing. I'm no expert at Runescape, I just like wasting a few hours when the Mrs is out, and I joined neo with the intention of gaining help on what, most of you would deem "nooby" stuff, and for the most part the CC/neo is very welcoming. There are cliques, but there always will be in social ventures such as this.

One noticable thing is the maturity of some members of the CC. I'm guessing I'm probably one of the older (age-wise) members of the CC ( these smiley face meant something totally different when I was at school!). This, perhaps, sometimes working in my favour as I'm a little more tollerant and just to "switch to public" when there's utter drivel being spouted, or stuff I just don't understand, whereas it seems other members would get irritated, start flaming, moaning, whinging, ... etc.
Really sometimes it's easier just to ignore small irritants!
So I wouldn't close the CC, just ignor the nonsense, if there's no audience to play to, they wont play.
I would suggest varying ranks - outside of peak times - not necesarily ranks with 'power' but perhaps ranks that the generals could trust as a valid source for complaints. I'm on GMT and there's rarely generals on then.

However I'd also like to add, the most welcoming member of CC is Mudrock34, always on to say hi, or provide 'nooby' help! A simple "Enough" from Mud has ceased a few issues. So many thanks.

You can only ignore it up to a certain point, and I think the current generals have reached that point. This has been going on for a long time.

Instead I suggest a scarecrow. Tighter rules, the promotion of a few captains, and increased community awareness of the problem.

You would take the corn away as a pre-caution whilst you implement other measures to protect your corn in the best possible way possible. In the scenario of a farmers crops, you would put a sheet over the crops whilst you do this.

In a more relating scenario, Usually when spam/flaming gets out of control in a thread, Mods/Supers close the thread, whilst they can deal with the problems and issue out appropriate punishments.

With the Clan Chat, we have so many problems lately and members of this community are finding it acceptable to break the rules as and when. Put on top of this the lack of generals and the fact that people here are advertising the chat in several worlds, it equals a huge problem. See the chat temporarily closed as either a punishment or just simply to fix it, because we're 2-3 weeks past the time these problems begun and still nothings been done.

Jynch, Widgemosh, Rraatt, Cheat Skill, Ash, Unknwnwrrior, Anime, Killa are some names to seriously consider to get the ball rolling.

I think a player mod should automatically become a gen if there's a need.

I mean he/she did gain the trust of Jagex, why not this cc?
