Why are Jagex using other companys games to promote their own?



Thats from the official Jagex channel on youtube and they are using WoW and AoC in their tags to promote Runescape?

What are your thoughts on this?

i think its wrong to use another companys more popular game to boost your own games popularity.

(Not made a thread in a while, hope this is cool with the mods)

They're fully allowed to do that, I could go and make a movie about Toast and give it those tags, its fully within the rules of Youtube and is a good way to find players who were looking for other games, but see the vid and become swayed

Business technique, you'd be surprised how many people were searching for one thing, someone tags it, something else comes up, and have it catch their eye and decide the like it. If they dont like it they can just hit the back button.

They tagged Warcraft because it's similar to runescape.

I don't see what the big problem is.

Like if you tagged a music video with artists/genres that are similar to it because people might find it interesting.
