Runescape nostalgia - Page 2

i remember i spent all my money on an addy 2h (on my very first account) and got skulled and died. i didnt have know what the skull meant, so i was really pissed when i discovered i didnt have anything left. playing runescape back then kinda sucked. i actually like it better now tbh.

Good times, but I prefer it now.

I remember when I was around level 70 or so, I was pretty wealthy, and I got owned. Some guy was holding a ¨Party Hat auction¨ and I got scammed, bad. Lost alot of rune, all my money, alot of other shit too.

A week later I decided to start off fresh, and I made Lil Sebi. Non-stop ess-mining, fishing lobsters and selling them at the wilderness border, training on Mossies...

Now however, there's so many fast and easy ways to make money in the blink of an eye. I mean, I remember when I finally made my first mil, took me AGES, compared to now as where I can make that in a night merchanting.

Same here, they added that what? 1 year ago? My account is 2 years old.

I also quit for a week when I got lured, and lost 10k...

I really do miss my beginnings days where I knew NOTHING at all about playing the game and I was pretty helpless. I learned how to fight stuff and I got scammed many times. But My noob days 5 years ago were all about getting friends and making money with them somehow and just hanging out. I remember making my own clans at lvl 20 and recruiting lvl 5's and lvl 7's...Sometimes I like to listen to RS music just to bring some of these memories back. Damn those were the days.

The beginning of Runescape was most certainly the time where I enjoyed the game the most. Battling Elvarg for the first time, entering the members world for the first time, and completing Legends back when it was THE quest to do are unforgettable moments on the game.

Yeah those quest memories are exactly how I feel. Legends was probably my favourite quest, I remember training so hard just to get that white legends cape which was pretty rare at the time. Also, I wanted access to the shadow warriors, I heard they were good left half droppers, but I never received one off them . I also enjoyed quests like the underground pass, and doing regicide just for the d hally.

RS was cool back in 2001, not an immature pile of crap it is now.

i enjoyed been a noob, like i do on all games.

Thing is, if you make a new account you still have all your knowledge of RS so its not like the first time

Haha being newb is actually fun. I remember my first day on RS very clearly and it was likely my first MMORPG I ever played so everything was new.

My first friend was a lvl 35 combat guy (which was really high!) and he led me to Varrock and Al-Kharid. I told him that he had to be really experienced and good player knowing the way around in RS that good.

Also when I got attacked by a mugger, WTF Hackzorz , I thought it was a player with the name mugger. I managed to kill one but he kept coming back so I fled hahah. Later I asked someone about the mugger and he told me how it was. XD

My first scam was with feathers, maybe 120 feathers or something, I was horrid someone just stole that from me. I still remember that guys name who scammed me.

Pking was pure amateur, I went with 3 items and cabbage as food as I didn't really know where to get fish or anything like that!

It's just scary how nubby someone can be when he starts RS. Since I remember my newb days I am really trying to be nice to everyone who's new to the game.
