Damn this forum built up quickly. I'm EoM (for now, in the middle of a name change if Neoseeker ever finishes it). Reading an update on the game at IGN right now. Hopefully the create-a-character has a lot of depth to it. Cassandra was my best character for SCII, but I haven't even experemented with all of the SCII characters yet. If her moves are relatively the same for SCIII, I should start off comfortably

Yeah, it was mentioned that Quizzy would smoke me using Taki or whoever that was. I won't argue, I'm deifnitely not as good at the Soul Calibur games than other veterans are. Probably wouldn't have been so tough on me if the control scheme in the game was described as PS2 buttons and not the arcade-like controls (A-B-K... whatever the other ones were; would have been easier like Square, Triangle, L2, L1, like that).

I'm just having trouble finding a FAQ/Walkthrough that has the PS2 buttons on it for characters and not the general button commands. I find it difficult to do the decent combos for fighters, so I memorize the simple attacks for Cassandra, and do reasonably well that way.

all the faqs i look at are arcade based
A=Horizontal
B=Vertical
K=Kick

what console u have SCII on

PS2. I know horizontal is Square and vertical is triangle. Kick is circle and R1, guard is X or L1 (I use L1). L2 is a combination of a couple buttons, and R2 is soul charge. Just hard to quickly match what the attack commands are while deciphering them on the controller at the same time. I don't play often enough to master it.

Smoke N a Pancake here. I used to be ace at Soul Calibur II but I'm pretty rusty atm. I may get Soul Calibur III but there's so many other games I need to buy that I probably won't have the money.

I know it isn't my place to complain, but it would be nice if you did not spam the hell out of the forum QuizzyFan8. Really, there's no reason for this forum to have 410 PPD and it's actually pretty annoying to have the same person replying to almost every single post.
