This post is about the upgrades for Megaman X in X4, X5 and X6. Because in X5 and X6, you can have the option to have more than one armor suit.

Megaman X4

Head Upgrade
Location:Cyber Peacock Stage
Requirements:Receive a "S" Rank in the 3rd area, soul body
Tatics:Use the Soul Body weapon (from split mushroom) on the yellow orbs to destroy them all on one try.
Dscription:The head upgrade will give you unlimited weapon energy (except when you charge up the weapon).

Chest Upgrade
Location:Magma Dragoon stage (area 2)
Requirements:X-buster upgrade, Legs Upgrade or Lghtning web, Twin Slasher
Tatics:Use the slide-jump move to the right before the raiden mech. Then use the Mid-air slide (or the Lightning web from web spider). Then, charge up the Twin Salsher to destroy the rocks that hides the way of the upgrade capsule.
Description:This will not only reduce the damage done to X by 50% it can also absorb damage and transfer it into special energy for the Nova strike special move.

X-buster Upgrade x2
Location:Storm Owl Stage (area 2)
Requirement:Lightning web
Tatics:Near the start, before the first door, there will be an opening in the ceiling with spikes. Cling to the right wall and use the lightning web and direct it to the left. Jump on the web and cling to the ledge to find 2 X-Buster upgrade capsules
Note:The 2 upgrades are different (But not permanent). You can go back and change the uppgrade. Try both of them out and see what you like the most. Bth will allow X to charge up any maverick weapon
Description: The upgrade on the right will allow X to fire off 4 normal charged shots rapidly while the one on the left will allow X to fire off a very powerful shot and will leave a bal that will do continuous damage.

Legs Upgrade
Location:Web Spider Stage (area 1)
Tatics: Once you see a waterfall, cling to the right wall and stay there until you come to an opening in that wall.
Description:The upgrade will not oinly allow X to slide in the air, it will also allow X to Hover in the air for a short period of time. Great for saving him from falling down a pit.

I will have the upgrade guide for the next game, the next one will also have tatics to obtain the upgrades by Zero as well.

I am back with yet another upgrade guide. This one is from X5. Like I said, in this game, you can have 2 armor suits (which will not be available until you have obtain the 4 parts for that suit).


MEGAMAN X5

Note:X will start with the Nova Suit (the armor suit from X4). Unless you start thr game as Zero or put in the Ultimate suit code. The armor will have the same abilities (except the Nova strike).

Falcon Suit
The Falcon suit is an eligant and lightweight armor suit. the suit's abilites consist "the hover system" which will allow X to hover in mid air, and become invincible while hovering. The charged shot of the Falcon suit is small but very powerful as well as going through walls and other solid obljects. Although you will not have the ability to charge up your maverick weapons with the Falcon suit, but the suit will give you more weapon energy. Plus the suit's specail move (the Falcon Strike) can damage every enemy on screen.

Head Part
Location:Squid Adler stage
Requirement:All of the "x" shaped balls from the ride chaser area
Tatics(X and Zero):Collect all of the "x" shaped balls when you are at the ride chaser area.

Body part
Location:Duff McWhalen stage
Requirements:Goo Shaver, Nova suit (or Ultimate Suit)
Tatics (X): In the sunken ship area (after you have faced the fish sub) there will be a wooden wall blocking your way to the capsule. Power up the goo shaver and release it to destroy the machine that will blow up the wooden wall.
Tatics (Zero):Zero can not obtain this part.

X-Buster part
Location:Izzy Glow stage
Requirement: Cresent shot or Cresent sword
Tatics (X):In the area before you face Izzy Glow, there will be an opening in the ceiling. Jump up to the opening and use the Cresent slash to destroy the energy ball machine on the left.
Tatics (Zero): Use the same tatics, But you may find it easier with Zero because of his ability to double Jump.

Leg part
Location:Grizzly Slash stage
Tatics(X):In the cave (before you face Grizzly slash),you will see an opening in the ceiling. Grab onto the wall on the right and use the silde ability while on the wall to reach the wall on the left.
Tatics (Zero):Use the double jump to grab onto the left wall.

Gaea Suit
This suit is ancient (possibly made in the time of the original Megaman) so it is old and very heavy. Because of its weight, the slide ability is slower and can not be performed in the air. However, the slide ability can push black blocks with a "v" on them. Plus, the legs have the ability to walk on spikes safely. The X-Buster shots are more powerful, but it has a slower rate of fire and a shorter range. But, this suit can withstand more enemy fire and has a more powerful special move (the Gaea Blast). Another isadvantage that the Gaea suit has not having the ability to use any maverick weapons.
Note:Only X (with the Falcon Suit) can obtain the parts for the Gaea Suit.

Head Part
Location:Dark Dizzy stage
Requirement:Follow shot
Tatics:In the area before you face Dark dizzy, there will be a hole right next to the chamber door. Go into the hole and use thr folow shot and direct it through the narrow passageway.

Body Part
Location:The Skiver stage
Tatics:In the area with a platform that rises diagonally, use the hover ablility to go up and you will eventually reach the secret platform with the capsule.

X-Buster Part
Location:Mat T-Rex stage\
Tatics: In the area with a large system of lava, continue until you have reached the cable before the chamber door. Use the hover ability to reach the end of the area with the capsule.

Leg Part
Location:Axel the Red stage
Tatics:In the stage with a long stretch cable line, you will see an opening in the ceiling. Use the hover ability to the opening.

How do you get the ultimate armor in X4? I've gotten it before with out cheats, but I forget how you get it.

you HAVE to get it with cheats. maybe you're thinking of X5.
I have my opinion of what the ultimate suits do:

Head: reduce weapon energy.

Body: Allows Giga Attack. reduces damage by half

Buster: Allows Plasma Charge Shot. Charge Special Weapons.

Legs: Allows Air-Dash. Hover Ability On.

yeah but in x5 if you go to the place where there is a pit where there is 1 moving platform. there's an invisible door and if you go through it there's a capsule where you can get the ultimate armor without the code. also yeah the u armor does pretty much the same thing as the 4th armor except the nova strike is--well caled the nova strike and not the giga attack. it uses energy and you have 2 differant kinds of charge shots to choose from!
