I like Rictor a lot, and Deneb is good, but my favorite is Saia. He's not the best, but is by far the coolest of them all.

yea i like saia too...i usually deck him out to make him better. also, about deneb, i only use her for 2 things: temptation and fluid magic. she feeds mp to my casters and then starts charming...i have salamander on her but i hardly ever use it. it's there for back up only

Well since no one said anything 'bout Shiven, i guess i will. He is the best ninja in the game (well 'cause he's a special at it) and you get him earlier if you take path A (of course you dont get him in B). He does a lot of damage as soon as you get him and is great threw-out the game. His only real weakness is his defense.

and his defense is usually remedied by the fact that i always give him a snap and the goblin helm. and besides, his agility is so extremely he rarely gets touched.

True, but I just never use Ninjas, at least after the 3rd chapter, or somewhere around there.

Well if you give them good equipment any of the characters can be very good. You are right that he wont get hit a lot. But when he does get hit, he will take a lot of damage just like both fairy. I mean the fairy also dont get hit a lot because of their high AGI, of course when they get hit, they lose A LOT of life.

a lot of damage? no way! well, not my shiven (mine has a firecrest) but even without it ninjas are just ordinary damage takers (again maybe its only mine) but if you're talking early in the game i guess he does take a lot of damage

well my shiven has a snap sword which adds a lot of strength. in this game Str. = Def. and so, his defense is good too

yeah, i don't know what my shiven has... but i really like him. maybe even more than alphonse...maybe...

Shiven is very good, and very cool looking. That's why i always keep him a ninja, even if he'd probably be better off as a swordmaster (because frankly, hardly anyone isn't). Alphonse is still the best though, if you want hiim to be. he has such a good potential for damage it's insane, and he's probably the easiest to get all the emblems with (except Don Quixote) because he's so strong, and he's always in your party.

Mine is by far Deneb. I love to charm every enemy, espessually priests, archers, and magic users. Fairies are also helpful when your character is paralysed and you forget to bring someone with cleanse The spells I have for her are: Ray of Paralysis, Molten Blade, and Temptation.

I think that ninja dude Shiven, he's pretty cool.

My favourite is probably Cybil. She has a powerful magic and her strength is not bad for a spellcaster.

Still, Deneb is the bomb. She has great AGL to go with her INT so she is a spell caster who rarely gets hit, even from behind!

I usually equip her with a wand and an anbicion sword.
