It seems like few special characters are coming up in the Best Character thread, so here is where you debate only the best special character.

maybe, eleanor, cybil, and deneb. they're all females. elrik is also good.

probably deneb or elrik i like them both.

Does the main hero count?? If not then i guess deneb is the best since you can get her early and it doesnt matter which path you are taking.

yeah u can also get elrik no matter what path u take. but u get him kinda late or in the middle.

uh i say rictor hes cool and casts healing spells and looks the coolest when he casts spells

i agree that rictor does look extremely cool while casting. the only thing i don't like about deneb is she is not very offensive. even though she can use summon spells, she never has any mp cuz i'm always using fluid magic with her. if alphonse counts then my nod goes to him.

Well if the hero counts, as i said before (or i think), my vote goes to him. As for rictor... well remember you can only get him if you take a certain path. One path you get him, the other you dont. He also doesnt join you until chapter 3.

yeah i think dendb is the best bcuz u can get her early.

Getting her earlier and she is a big difference @ the start. She can charm a lot of the enemy and reduce the damage you take during the start of the game. Of course she lacks damage but she is probably the best support character in the game.

yeah deneb also has better chances of 2 persuade bcuz she is a witch. and ur right the temptation is too good not 2 use. also she can use summon spells which r the best spells in the game.

I never use her for summons. I only use her to charm others. I use my hero to recruit enemy as he generally has a better chance then deneb.

i usually give deneb salamander. cuz she is usually fire so salamander she b stronger. i also use her 2 teleport people places and to charm. so she can do anything.

All i do with her = charm... nothing else. That is what makes her good. I leave her for last and then after i finish using my 7 other characters, she'll charm 1 or more enemy so i'll take less damage.

i always use her for summons! if you make her mag. att. go up boom! you're opponents are dead. also include intelligence.
