Seems a bit early to discuss that, but I hope he is. I doubt he'd have a gun, he would probably have maybe some blast, as you said.

nope thats wrong my cousin works for sega enterprises and he let me play a demo
1. it is a real pistol that shoots lasers
2. remember in the super sonic level in battle 2 well he is floating in space an has memories of maria so then he see this space colony of some sought and it is in ruins. He sees a pistol on the floor and has memories of maria so he thinks is this a sign and he takes this pistol but gets transported to earth.
3. sonic is walking with amy rose he sees a dark character on the building.
4. eggman's robots attack him and amy and sonic has trouble.
5. the dark character on the building shoot his pistol and then sonic tackles amy to save her but all of the robots explode and then the dark character (shadow) jumps of of the building and runs into the sunset all mysterios and stuff then you enter the first level. and shadow kicks ass. sometimes he is good sometimes he is bad in this game. when ever shadow attacks he uses 2 shots of his pistol and he jumps up and uses his homing ball attack and then when in mid air he shoots the enemy and thats what the beginning of the game is like that all i know now but when i find out more i will tell you ok?

I wonder if the chaos emeralds (and maybe master) r in this.

yes they are in this but master emerald im not so sure about my cousin said he can't tell me that much until it comes closer to coming out he said that he still wants me to buy the game but i still have the demoin the demo i got to the special stage and it is hard it involves sniper speed and luck

Shadow is awesome

I have little doubt as to how Super Shadow/Hyper Shadow will be included in this game.

He will appear only toward the end of the game, leaving fans asking "Why the heck couldn't we play as him in every Stage???".

But Sonic Team has made the main character go Super in every Sonic game to date. Name me one where there wasn't a Super form.

Sonic 1 had Super form! You had to collect all seven Chaos Emeralds along the levels, remember? And I never got past level 2 of Sonic 3D Blast, it gave me headaches. And I think Sonic went super in the final battle in Sonic Battle. Not sure though. I'm probably wrong.

As far as I can recall, the Chaos Emeralds were only required for a Secret Ending in Sonic The Hedgehog, and I can't recall his Super Form being involved.

Yeah, that's probably it. I know there were Super Emeralds in an oldschool Sonic Game, I remember seeing Hyper Sonic pictures and reading about it. I haven't played any of the old ones in a while, so I can't remember what happens in which ones.

A Super Shadow would kick ass! The Hyper Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was awesome. This time, you should be able to shoot a Chaos Spear out of you hand. Now that would be sweet.
