	In sonic riders, Shadow's skates are called "Darkness" so all this time shadow was riding an extreme gear.

	no, shadow's shoes were always called the air shoes. i think they mention it somewhere in one of the games... maybe sonic battle for GBA

	No the air shoes are just a thing you get during the game it said so in Sonic Adventure Battle 2. -------------------

	Shadow doesn't need skates as he has infinite speed from chaos control. He even does this without an emerald with ease on last story of shadowthehedgehog, unlike sonic who even with an emerald (not a real chaos emerald though but it still has some power) in SA2B lies on the ground and throws a right girly boo-hoo after doing chaos control. SO THERE!!
