TotA Letters to Namco

Maybe we would type/write up a letter thanking them too. So they will think that there's people out there who appreciate their heard work.

And besides, the localization producer for ToL (Peter Garza, you should be able to find him in the credits in the back of the manual) suggested we send in letters like this, requesting no cuts, etc...

That's why I haven't sent anything to a company since Konami....I got a respond the first time, but it wa nothing special, and people got the same thing.

Sometimes, the companies are either too busy, or feel there's more important things than other e-mails/letters. ^^;;

are u really sure they could speak english?? coz half of the tales series are made with japanese... wouldn't it be a waste if they can't even read YOUR post??
BTW, TotA is going to be in english or japanese??

Also....game Companies such as Namco do care about you sending letters. It's called feedback, they need to know how the public react to games they have made, suggestions they want to give, etc.

Also, that from I can see isn't japan that you'd be sending your letter too. They are obvisouly going to have a split company of Namco in another country such as America or something so the japanese games can be translated....also....not many english people can speak japanese (except for some wapanese people XD)...so there wouldn't be a point sending a letter, that's why they usually have people who speak english on the team....makes it a lot easier for the public...get it?

Yep, the "strong indication" was probably the Abyss characters on Legendia's manual. You'll notice that the characters were all of the Tales characters from Tales games released on a Sony system in the US, (ToR, ToD2J, ToS-PS2, and ToP-PS1 were not present) and perhaps the game that will follow.
I believe Reid/Rid is missing though. As someone suggested (on GameFAQs I think...?), he was killed off in the TotA Arena Cameo battle...

It seems you are incapable of reading my post, anyway, but as Namco Hometek is a division of Namco that works on translating the Tales games from Japanese into English (this may be offered at your school - you should check it out!), and, as you can see from the address I provided, is located in Santa Clara, California (California's that democratic state on the west coast of the US, not a place in Japan), I would thnk they'd be quite capable of reading something written in English. God knows how they'd manage to translate Japanese games into English without that knowledge.

Sarcasm aside, the Localization Producer for ToL sorta suggested fans do something like this - read my second post in this thread.

Tales of the Abyss was released in Japan (in Japanese, cuz that's what they usually speak in Japan) in December. It is made by the same team that made Symphonia. So far we're unsure of whether Namco Hometek will localize it or not, so some of us are sending letters. It has a generally nice story, graphic style, and set of characters, and what most people consider the best battle system in the series.
