	I know this forum is dead, so if anyone gets this message, can someone tell me how to place food/gold/rocks in a custom game? all I can figure out is to place trees. -------------------

	in the units placement, select the team called Gaia(where you would select the team of your choice for placing units and buildings). thats got all the things u r looking for

	Exactly, in the "Units" tab, there is a dropdown menu "Players" beneath the units, select that and you should see "Gaia" (I think it means something like world). You get a ton of choices, more than a hundred. -------------------

	Maps are easy to make, they harder part is not giving yourself the loosing end, or weaker force. So that when you win you can truly say you own. All the tabbs are pretty strait forward, from there jsut experiment if you cant find anything. -------------------
