mk, just wondering, anyone here think ninja gaiden is actually hard? the majority of answers will isntantly be YES, but when u think about it..

Sure, very hard an master modes are tough, but normal? come on people! The game has a fantastic enemy AI, which is what might be misconstrued as hard. But, team ninja gifted us with something rarely seen in games.. incredibly smooth and reactive controls and an amazing combat system!

I think it took too long for some people to figure out the combat system. By not using the most efficient method on certain ememy/boss type, they ended up dragging on fights. Which in turn leads them to take more damage and dying.

If the game has a tutorial that teach you just one thing -- on landing chrage, then almost the entire game can be reduce down to boss fights.

In my first play through I always try to find ways to exploit boss's vulnerable frames before committing to battle.

I think one thing everyone would agree is that after beating the game at a higher difficulty, you would truly realize how much you had been sucking earlier on.

Tutorials often make games far too easy. You're supposed to learn as you go by trial and error.

And On-landing charge was a feature added in NGB and kept in Sigma.

its a very hard game. it will take a while for you to get good enough to get past chapter 7.

I agree that it takes time for the player to grow accustomed to the battle style, and as cheesy as it may sound, become one with it. :P
When you finally get to a point where you're surrounded by six ninjas you tend to appreciate the smooth and flawless execution. You can't mindlessly hack away in this game. My roommate thinks he can just walk up to a boss and smack it, and he just doesn't understand the level of intensity and attention that the game demands. He will never make it passed Alma. NEVER. And I laugh at him for that. HA! >:D

BUT. I've been pondering the mechanic for the camera. I used to complain about it, but the more I commit to flawless ass-kicking, the less problems I have with the camera.
Anyone else think the camera needed work?
