re: General Discussion.

Sorry that this post is so long, but here is the info i seen from Kyledove, who resently received the game.

3 different houses at start, one in beach, one next to the river, and one in town.
The river one is very good for growing crops
the beach has lots of land
the town is very close to people.
Start with usual tools (including fishing rod) and a matchbox and a pedometer.
You can level up tools they have a meter.
You can upgrade tools at tool shop or at blacksmith with your own ore.
You use matchbox to light fires, you can use fires to cook or to provide light.
Pedometer shows how many steps you have taken.
You can plant wherever you want, except on other peoples land.
You have to buy land if you want to build.
If you press z it's color-codes the ground:
yellow means villagers land.
Red means rivals land.
Blue means your land.
Green means land available.
If you click z again it will show names on top of everyone’s names (including animals)
say you fed an animal its name will turn green, if you give someone a present their names will turn green.
Wild animals have their own likes, duck likes fish, rabbit likes weeds, etc, etc.
You can befriend wild animals.
People will move into your town like the blacksmith after shipping a number of ore/mineral.
There are 3 soil types, wet, normal, and dry.
On wet soil, crops grow faster and sell for more, but on dry they grow slower and sell for less.
You can chop trees, large stumps, medium stumps, and branches lying around, the lumber that falls from them is random.
You can plant trees of different types, making your own forest.
The goddess has been turned to stone.
There is a lake and a summit, as well as a different summit and the goddess' forest.
You have to collect 100 happiness notes, every 5 notes you get an instrument.
When you make a musical instrument, you are adding something.
1st one - you add the new harvest sprites
2nd one - you add these floating fairy things
3rd one - you add gems in the water
4th one - you add flowers all around her
and so on, until the place is restored to its true beauty
You can buy the mayo, cheese and butter makers.
There is lots of furniture for sale and you can move them around, move, remove and add things.
You can paint your house, as well as upgrade it and then paint it again.
You can buy a water trough, a well, a windmill, a chicken coop, a barn, a big barn with silo, and more farmhouses if you want.
Fishing works same as animal crossing, but probably easier.
Every fish you catch will come with a length; in your menu it shows the biggest size of each fish.
You can sell meals you cook.
You can buy lots of different kitchen utensils.
There are LOTS of festivals, and it is hard to befriend people and animals.
You have to buy a barn/coop before keeping animals.
You can collect books.
You can buy a rucksack that increases your inventory.
You start out with a bed, TV, calendar, table, kitchen, a chopping board, a toolbox, a cupboard, and a fridge.
When you start out playing I consider you get the beach house, and collect coral everyday in the beach (sells for 100g!) and you should sell all spare fence posts lying around the town because they will rot on their own and become useless in time.
10 minutes in game is 7 seconds in real life.
Time stops in buildings.
Your animals will run wild through the map if you don’t fence them in.
You can use a leash to pull animals along.
You can use a bell to show your animals you want them to go in or out, if you want them to stop ring bell again.
In summer, it can get so hot the screen goes blurry to show heat and using tools takes away LOTS of energy.
When you buy your barn, you will get a pet pig.
Your pets will always stay in your house, if you take them out the next day they will be back inside.
You can find happiness tones EVERYWHERE.
When going mining, you can use plough to search the ground, or find some stairs and go down a level, and then you can start to smash rocks or crystals with your hammer or keeping plowing the ground. When smashing rocks and crystals sometimes gases will come out, a yellow gas paralyzes you, a gray gas makes your eyesight go really small, and a purple gas will confuse you.
There are holes in the ground in the mine, if you step on them sometimes you will go down or up a level, the deeper the better the items you find.
I have reached level 85 so far.
You can buy horses.
Your rival starts out with a full-blown farm.
Ellen will give you your dog on your first day.
Maria owns the library.
You have to befriend the mayor to make more land available for sale.
Maps will grow.
The bakery will move in, then upgrade into an inn, as well as other buildings such as a bar, moving people in with them.
Horse races and dog races are back.
You can buy a baby rattle.
If you drop an item, it will start to get smaller until it disappears, giving you a time to grab it back if you want it.
If you drop litter or pick a weed to throw it on floor, a sad face will appear and you will hear a boo hoo sound.
From your menu you can press z to take you straight to sleep for the next day.
TV has 4 channels.
You have a recipe list.
Menu shows all you have shipped.
There is a mini game to get to the summit.
You can get letters from people.
You can zoom in and out a lil.
There are trashcans to through trash in.
You can have children and get married.
If you leave R pressed you get a lil square showing where you are aiming tools and things.
People will frequently leave for a short while if you’re not friends with them, but most come back soon.
People make sounds when you talk to them like awl, some sound really weird.
Multiplayer mode - adds minigames as you play real game.
You have to play a climbing minigame to reach summit.
Takes up 53 blocks, and has 4 save files!
You can brush your dog (FINALLY!)
You can hand feed animals all the time now.
Cool cooking animations.
Play as girl.

re: General Discussion.

Though that is a lot of info, and I kinda got lost in it somewhere it sounds like a combination of HM BTN and animal crossing.
