Did Mammon dissapoint?

Mammon's tough, but his two strongest spells can be completely avoided every time. Just use avalanche on him, and he'll get hit so many times you can just sit there and take whatever he throws at you before he falls.

It's pathetic.

So I went and made a little gameshark code that alters Mammon and his spells to make him a bit more difficult.

If anyone's interested, I'll post the GS code.

I don't mean you have to alter Brian with codes to win, in fact that'd make even this altered Mammon very easy to beat. This code's intended for pitting your strongest regular Brian against him, and you have to have every last one of these following spells to win, period: Barrier, Avalanche, Healing 2, drain magic, and invalidity(seriously, this is essential to deal with his spell's paralyzing side-effects, otherwise you won't be able to avoid his strongest attack, which is now brutally damaging(120+ Hp a pop) and will DESTROY magic barriers!)

Unless Brian has maxed hp and defense, it's very hard, because you need to use avalanche to attack, but when you're that close, you can't avoid Mammon's attacks, and you need to back away from him and recover you're HP and MP(he attacks both this time!), but you also need to finish him off before your drain magic spell becomes too weak to use, forcing you to tightly balance offense and defense.

Mammon actually seems to be quite the strategist with this code- he'll appear to second guess what you're doing and mess up your advance on him several times throughout the match.
His weakest attack paralyzes you and will dispell magic barrier, but won't go through it, his second spell does minimal HP damage but a ton of MP damage, but barrier will stop this in it's tracks, and his final spell deals the most hp damage, and needs to be ran from, barrier or no barrier.. it also isn't possible to avoid up-close and even far away it's still difficult to avoid.

Even if you're strong enough to beat him, one-too-many mistakes or even him second-guessing you too many times could end it for you.

If anyone has a gameshark and wants to try this altered Mammon fight, just request it and I'll post it here.

re: Did Mammon dissapoint?

Mammon probably wasn't the hardest boss in the game... The only spell that was hard to avoid was the one where green light attacked you. It did less damage than I healed with Heal level 2 though... I only used one item, and it was for giving me full HP... I never attacked him with anything but Wind Cutter level 3.

re: Did Mammon dissapoint?

My point exactly, Mammon was very easy compared to Beigis and Guilty, but with that gameshark code I made, he's beyond both of them.

The stradegy and difficulty of the altered fight is far better than anything encountered in the normal game.

My Gameshark faq for this game includes the Mammon code, and Neoseekers put up a copy of it almost as soon as it was put up at gamefaqs, so you can see it from either one.

Or you could use your invincibility rock spell and sit there and laugh at the poor SoB. While using mana drain the water spell to keep your MP full.
