Ah, there are some people here after all! I had put in my little bit in the intro thread, and then after no replies to any other threads... I had lost some hope.

Well, I must say that in the game, the battle setup was quite different from other games. It did make an excellent opportunity to dodge many attacks once you know what the enemy uses and where it goes after it is cast. That was one of the things I loved in this game, you could somewhat control if attacks would hit instead of relying on the widely used Random Number Generator that is used in most RPG's now.

Yeah, it's nice, once you get used to it. Dodging wind cutter is especially easy, sometimes it dissapears before it reaches Brian. But I can't dodge fireball.
The only problem with the whole run-around-in-an-octagon setup is that it's really easy to get turned around (Connor Fortress is hell).

Oh, yeah, that Connor Fortress... I had a problem staying on track in that one cave... I can't remember the name, but it was that cave with the wyverns (I think) it had a greenish-yellow tinge in the air.

I kept getting turned around there the first time I played the game

Cull Hazard? That cave wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't been so long. Or if I had had healing. Blue Cave was really easy to get turned around in.

re: Man, this is a great game for the 64 and no one's here.

Yeah, Cull Hazard... I was turned around by the green mist... I would fight and then lose track of where I was facing before the battle...

Blue Cave... I don't remember it very well... I thought there was a hole or something in the cave or something would make me get lost somewhere...

I was wondering if it was a glitch or I just kept taking the wrong passage in there, yeah, now that I think about it, that was more frustrating than that Cull Hazard place

And you had to find the little arrow that pointed the way... Not only that, but it was obscenely long.

not to mention that you had to intentionally go the wrong way first to see if there were any treasures

its also aggravatingly easy to overlook getting turned around in the Boil Hole specifically

I like this game.
Sure, it´s not the greatest one out there, but there are far more horrible games than this.

It´s good, but not great.

I agree, the music needed a little work, and some say the battle system was poor, but other than that it was perfect, storyline included (if you read the intro its even better)

I thought the battle system was perfect, but the storyline sucked. Or didn't exist, depending how you look at it...

did you read the intro or just skip right to the title screen? the intro is pretty much what makes the storyline existant

I watched the intro... The storyline pretty much didn't exist.

Well it kind of did, a lame storyline is still a storyline.
