Together? What are you talking about? You only need water to heal.

Actually, in some battles, you'd need both healing and the barrier spell to effectively recover.

Hmmm... Barrier makes your defense higher, doesn't it?

re: Best Elements

Barrier is that earth spell that makes you invincible for 2 or so turns

I like water spells as confusion and MP drain can really be helpful when you need it most

re: Best Elements

oh wait, Confusion is an earth spell isn't it

Anyways I still find Water spells useful, I doubt this isn't known by now, but Water pillers higher levels are only used to cover a larger area and it isn't any more powerful then the lower levels at all

re: Best Elements

I noticed that... It ticked me off. I've never used earth before... Always wind, fire, or water.

I never bothered with stat enhancement either, but wind cutter and large cutter are awesome attacks...

I found Avalanche to prove quite useful against mammon it takes him out in minimal time since he is so big

re: Best Elements

My favorites have always been Water and Earth:

Water for the healing and that walking water spell (?)

Earth for the defense and weakness spells.

I first use support spells and then work on the enemy later (mainly on bosses, only exception were the knights at the creepy castle)
