Actually, the PSP does NOT have any "motion sensor" built-in (I thought that wasn't likely to have snuck by me in the specs!). Rather, the game's designers are including such a peripheral w/ the game.

do you know when the motion sensor will ship?

I just got this game a few hours ago and have played through all the tutorials, and the first 5 levels after that. So far I love it! It is incredibly unique, challenging and fun. I was disappointed that there was no tilt periferal available yet. I hope they still come out with that at some point, but I haven't heard anything lately about it. Perhaps they couldn't get it to work as planned. Anyway, the tilting is done with the analog stick, and it is very easily done and feels natural and intuitive. I didn't think it would, but it does.
The music is great, so headphones are a must. The levels are very challenging. They require forethought, patience, and a steady hand. But you also have to act quick because you have a timelimit. If you don't get the puzzle solved within the timelimit you lose, and if you do complete it, you get a higher score the less time it takes.
You have lots of camera controls .. zoom in and out, rotate left and right, lean the camera forward or backward, focus the camera on one blob of mercury or all at once.
If anyone's thinking of getting this game, but is not sure. I say, go for it. It's awesome! Especially if you liked the old NES game Marble Madness, which is its closest relative by similarity. I hear alot of people say it is similar to Super Monkey Ball, but I never played that. There is another game I played which was very similar, on the GBA. But instead of controlling a marble or a ball etc., you guide a spinning top through a maze of obstacles. It was called "Beyblade V-Force". Very similar.

There are 72 levels, I think.

This game is going to be off the hook! I can't get it until Monday (payday).

BTW, the pop-ups piss me off too!

I'm going to get it as well, no biggie on the missing tilt peripheral.

No popups here, don't you guys use popup blockers? I have Firefox, although there's no indication at the bottom corner that popups were blocked.

Mercury is a great example of the PSPs power - the blob looks AMAZING! I'm surprised people haven't used it as an example...
