How does it actually 'cold' the enemy?

Its something about the enemy lossing 10bth and you gaining 10bth. Dont really see the point, a big waste of money IMO.

Krux is correct. The downside is it takes a turn to equip. It takes a turn to attempt to "cold" which your opponent can resist. If you do succeed, then your opponent gets a save roll with each turn.

So you'll take at least two turns to equip and succeed, but your success may not last more than one turn. Then you'll need to try again, which wastes another turn, which may be reversed by a save roll at any time.

It appears to be a terrible item to me.(very powerful ability, but is really very useless due to negatives used to 'balance it')
