Every guardian should have an Awe weapon for earth. It's both good and free!

Poise is useful for mage types because of its special. I really didn't ever use Poise for water damage, just mana regeration.
True, poise has a great ability that makes it worth while no matter what element it has. But tsunami edge also has an ability thatd make it worth while as a tactical weapon. Against a zeel perhaps or any other low res monser. You could just have the special hit a few times and jack up his energy res to 150% and then spam mjollnir or w/e your lightning weap is. Since theres still no X-element weaps thats an ability that could be very useful.

Elemental Seeker is the perfect weapon to use against Elite Zeels. It is also very useful against Xyfrag. Since you've got to give up an elemental spot to have Elemental Seeker, it seems to me that water is the perfect element to replace.

Oh , well , it's nice to have a water weapon anyways just for those pesky water monsters.

Are you saying that Elemental seeker seeks X when all the others are lower?

re: are water element weapons really necessary?

Yes, elemental seeker does element X damage when all elemental modifiers are below 100%. It seeks the highest percentage and element X is always 100%.

Edit:

Lightshpere,

Your earth weapon should be your non-drop weapon.

re: are water element weapons really necessary?

It is best used with Asgardian + Iron Thorn + Orb since you want to maximize damage and minimize the number of attacks. Unless you've got hp to burn, that hp cost really adds up in Reign.

Hopefully you aren't skimping on the Cha!

Elemental Seeker is a Melee weapon and you should stick to magic. You should have no problems with the guys mentioned without using elemental seeker. The only opponent you'd need void damage for is the Terror Zard. I'd suggest getting a Void damage pet for him.

re: are water element weapons really necessary?

Mages just buy Poise because it restores MP.. Like you said a lot of monsters are weak to both the element water and ice so I just use my Nemesis Mace .

Well you're in luck . Just look at this .

Int.200
End.100
Cha.75
luck.50

But I'm not a guardian and I'm not to much into pets, so that's enough for me .

re: are water element weapons really necessary?

Even if you are not a guardian, you'll still want about 150 Charisma. You can maximize your muhrbles and lvl 10 Nerfkitten that way. You can also get the Kish-Kin now, so you might even want to get 200 Cha at lvl 100.
