OK IM LVL 75 I NEED AN ARMOUR THATWILL GET MY MAGE UP LIKE..MAKE IT HIT HIGHER AND HAVE GOOD DEFENSE BONUS...CUZ I JUST GOT 3 REALLY GOOD SPELLS DARK SPLATTER,SUPER NOVA, AND FROST ELF ATTACK.

Get The Golden Set and please don't right in all Caps it's a tad annoying.

Is pyrate set worth it i mean i can afford that...i see on AQ encyclopedia it has 70% on defence which is good.

I really don't see the point just farm some more without it and you'll be able to get it. I've never bothered with any lesser sets neither have my other noob characters.

In the time before you get Golden, Mage Robes is a good choice. The defence is not that great, but it gives some nice spell bonuses. You can boost your spell damage further by using the Lightning Rod weapon which gives a 10% damage boost to Energy spells and a 5% damage boost for all other elements. It can be purchased from Warlic's Advanced Magic Shop for 100,000 gold at level 85.

Until you have enough gold for Golden Plate, I'd go with Mage Robes and Wizard Robes. I'm sorry that you wasted your tokens on those two spells, but Mage Robes will help you to get the most out of them: focus + empower + stable is a very good way maximize your damage output. Use Eye of Naab for your shield to recover a good chunk of the mana you lose with all those toggles the first time you use it.
