I dont think you can (are supposed to) defeat him. After you lose to him you get to the quest.


Im confused about this "choose an armor thing". Is this the new thing? I kinda like the idea that classes are separated a bit but I dont quite understand it all yet.

One thing I dont understand is that on the ancient spirit armor. Even on the past lvl 5 attks that are melee the stat is int based. Is this right? I understand this is just a preliminary draft but Its a little to elaborate to be typoed so massivly wrong. Can anyone enlighten me?

I think I have a good idea why that is. It's because the attacks use Chi (a spiritual energy or life-force that is in every living thing in Chinese culture). Martial Artists attempt to channel this chi through their body to use it to their advantage. For example, during a punch they will concentrate all the chi in their body into just their fist, to give the punch more power.

Now, considering chi logically, it is generally considered magical/spiritual/supernatural, and is not something that everyone believes in. Given it's magical nature, it makes sense that use of it in AQ requires INT.

thats seems to be it. I got hung up on that and didnt cheack the other two . Swift talon and mountin cudgel stat bonus is strenght based, serpents fang is dex based and ancient spirit gi is int based. Nicely done with a way to go for each build.
