pros and cons of favorite characters!

okay, first off, im doing this as equally as i can even though i cant stand some of these characters. this thread is for you to present why your character is the best/strongest/whatever. it is not for random opinions without eveidence. any disputes over an event are easy to resolve. why is it so easy? its called youtube and what you do is post the url of a video showing the event. and if there is any chance it is a fake vid find a new one.
secondly, do not start bashing other people over their favorite character. bill of rights number one.
third, no meaningless posts like "______ is the best! _______ forever!". grow up and use complete sentences with reasons behind them.
fourth, please try to avoid bickering over different translations. you will not get anywhere. if you cannot decide between yourselves, move on and spare the computer's memory.
fifth, we are not here to fight over the best character. this thread is for debating why you like or dislike a character, so please stick to factual support to your opinions rather than just "he's annoying/ hes an emo freak" blah blah blah. be nice, and i will have no problems with your input.
sixth, if you are just being plain rude then any arguments you present will be excluded from the final list of top characters. simply put, you disqualify yourself and its up to the other fans to make up for it.
seventh, my final list will not be made up by myself so dont bitch about it. im having someone with no knowledge of any FF games make the list based upon the input you give because i really just cant see past my feeling for some of the characters in this game and want this to be a fair judgement.

:_( wow this thread took a nosedive before take-off. i keep forgetting how dead this forum is. no offense to anyone at neo, but no one ever visits the ff7 threads . basicly i wanted a debate over character pros and cons but that requires several people staying and conversing.

sigh... this is kinda sad how its3 days and one moderator took pity on me. besides that, no one posted.

Vincent is the best! Vincent forever!

No but really, I prefer Vincent as my character because he's just always calm. He's been through the death of his ?father?, never knew his mother, was the reason his love died and so much more, yet he's calm, collective and always seems to know what to do. Also, Chaos is just flippin' sweet.

I dislike Cloud because he's an emo freak

Should I post my favourite and least favourite characters (with reasons) now, or wait until the format of this thread has been decided?

Favourite character: Zack.
Reasons (pros): he is always so motivated and optimistic. The fact that I started with this game in the series instead of the original FFVII means I've grown to like Zack in the same way most people would like Cloud from playing FFVII. I knew Zack would die at the end of the game, but it was all about what happened in between, and it was Zack's personality that made the story strong for me.
Cons: I can't think of any, but if anyone can think of some I'll think about whether I consider that a con or not myself. (eg. You could say you can't stand Zack's battle style or haircut, in which case I'd say that Zack's powerful 'sweeping' battle style with the Buster Sword was very enjoyable to use, with his special (DMW) moves being very entertaining to watch and satisfying to activate, and that I like Zack's haircut, even though I'd never have it myself)

Least favourite character: Tifa
Reasons (cons): Speaking about her as a general FFVII character, I never really connected with her personality from playing FFVII and watching Advent Children, as well as her scenes in Crisis Core.
Pros: she is very kind and has a friendly personality, and her battle style was pretty fun to watch during her scene in Advent Children.

Hopefully that's the kind of thing you guys were hoping for. If not, I can easily amend it.

I saw your closed thread. the reason why he did it though was because there are 'general character' dedicated threads. (You can check in a stickied index thread or a forum's header to find these thread .) It just differs from forums to forums. For example, if you come to mine you can go ahead and create a new and fresh thread instead of bumping an old obsolete one, while with other kind of games they just prefer to have a single thread and not multiltuds of character discussion thread for a single character. Although it may also be that Yu-Gi-Oh! (as the forum that I mod) changes and discussion from 2 months ago is obsolete on present times because the metagame also changed and new cards were released. In any case, I understand how you felt though since your new. Neoseeker is actually a pretty friendly community and hope you get to stick around with us.

Feel free to check the index threads when it comes to character discussions. You can surely post on that thread although if you got a question or feel like creating a thraed that doesn't exist yet, you can create a new one.

I did some typo corrections and added a numerical orders into your list. I suggested if we should make this into a character review thread: you can come and name a character and all of us can review it -- including we liked him/her/it or not. I believe that way we can have more boost of activity here rather than have people post indiviually on their own in regards to a character. As the activity ceases to exist, you can name a different character. If you accept, I can help you out rewording some of the rules as well as including a nice intro.
