You can say, that when a GD is deleted, if your posts contain more then 72 characters (I believe it was that number) you will get +1 post count. When the thread is deleted, you will get -1.
But if your post is below 72 characters, you won't get the +1, but when the thread is deleted you still get the -1, so it will eat at your post count.

Short posts aren't good on Neo, so if people didn't post 1-3 word posts, it would only benefit themselves to make more discussion in the GD. =3

Not saying people should post less, just write more when they do first post, like yourself KOTS.=3

It is frowned upon to have chat like conversations in the GD, it's always been like that. Like Celes mentioned, that's why we have official IRC chatroom.
Of course sometimes there are times when there isn't much more to say; For instance when you're asked a simple yes or no question. But I'm not sure if everyone knows of this.

The GD threads were made to reduce off topic discussions in (forum) game discussion threads, not a substitute for IM. ^^;

And you know how a chat room works, just like IRC or IM. Which is frowned upon in a GD.

No, YOU need to differentiate the difference between a bully and constructive person. I gave feedback in the most polite manner as possible--I even said that I wasn't criticizing anybody. The problem is that you fail to see my point that I was in fact giving constructive feedback, but instead, you got an instant rush of anger because you didn't want to see the GD close down. So I think the problem lays with you, dear. Furthermore, I even had a couple of people apologize to me for being so offensive over private message.

Ok ok, let's take a step back here guys....
I don't know the history behind you guys (as there seem to be?), but based on the "first" post alone by Saotome, I didn't see any agenda or alteriour motive in the post.

No one has to worry about the GD getting removed! ^^
Like I previously mentioned, it is preferred for the thread not to be like a chatroom, that does not mean I'm saying number of posts should be reduced. All I'm implying is that the content of the posts should prefably increase. =3

Having that said I am glad that there is activety in this thread, and the forum is only as good as it's people, so we want to improve the forum the best we can so that everyone can be happy! No? =3

So lets conclude the GD debate with that there is nothing going to happen with the GD. But increase in content per post would be a terrific! =D
Then I'm aiming towards the 1-5 word long posts! =3
