	Well Zack is dead in their timelines, so it wouldn't make sense for Zack to appear with Aerith at that time, if he did, then Cloud would have to be weaker and younger in those games than he currently is, and wouldn't be as main a character. Also, Zack wasn't as well known back then, and him appearing there would only confuse things as he didn't have his own game when those games were made. Also, in Advent Children, you see Zack and Aerith hanging together right at the end. And I don't think they would've shown Zack with Aerith like that unless they were to follow up on their feelings shown in Crisis Core. ------------------- It seems my other two images have expired. If anything, that's probably quite symbolic of my slow but sure expiration here.

	I think you missed the point... Aerith also died but she's the one that always appears with Cloud... if they weren't the true couple they just had to put Tifa with Cloud so i don't see the logic in your post. and them appearing at the end of AC just doesn't mean that they are together, just because they were there for Cloud doesn't mean they are automatically lovers or anything, you probably saw the movie and you saw the state that Cloud was in with is flashbacks to Zack and is conversations with Aerith. Now I ask you if FFVII had the graphics of Crisis Core and total voice work I would like to know what your opinion would be about who Aerith loves when you see her interact with Cloud because when a game character as a voice and a better facial expression then it changes the whole experience. I hope you guys understand what I'm saying here. Also, I see a lot of posters saying that Aerith should be with Zack when they even didn't play FFVII, that's why I say some guys should try to get informed before posting, and not just do some kind of random post I know that i sound like a total Clerith fan but here's the thing I was a Cloti fan and I really wanted Cloud and Tifa to be the true pairing but after seeing everything that is "OFFICIAL" that's the only conclusion i can reach to. You guys are too hunged up on only one game and you automatically refuse anything that doesn't support what you perceive as the truth, so do some F...ing research and reach a definite and unbiazed conclusion

	Connected87, I think you're being a bit hypocritical. Ever heard of the quote "Every man is right in his own perspective"? Well, that quote pretty much applies to everybody - including you. And relax, will you? No need to get so heated over each individual's interpretation. We can't really be sure which one's Aerith's true love because it's up to the producers to decide that. "Maiden" can't be taken into account because the author didn't consider Crisis Core - you know why, it didn't exist yet. And if you talk symbolize-wise, then I have to say that they didn't put Zack with Aerith returning to the Lifestream at the end of AC for no reason, just as kaijudo stated. Makes sense to me. One last thing, how exactly do you do 'research'? And how can you be certain that your 'research' is right since most of your factors are opinion-based and interpreted in your point of view?

	Ok I wen't a little overboard Maiden not being taken into account? It was made under the carefull supervision of Square, it was Square themselves that said this, the only FF7 related material that they said wasn't part of the compilation was Last Order, and about Crisis Core not existing yet, it doesn't change the fact that Zack and Aerith were in a relationship in the "PAST", so I don't know how CC can affect Maiden. And about the Aerith and Zack returning to the lifestream at the end of AC I don't see how can that symbolize that they are together The research I'm talking about is reading the perspectives of each, the Cleriths, the Clotis, the Zeriths, the ones that don't give a damn, that is what I ment, and from everything I read the CloudxAerith pairing is the one that makes more sense, at least to me, but as you said everyone as the right to they're own opinion, and I just got pissed because I read posts of people that only played one game and think that from just what that one game shows is the truth.

I don't count it because of all the plotholes and contradictions it has with the storyline. Sure, it may have been under close supervision and issued by Square, except it wasn't even written by any of the staff at Square. On the way to a smile was written by the guy behind FFVII, i didn't really like those much, but i count them because it WAS square who actually wrote them. It doesn't even seem like the author of maiden played any of the games or knew much about them when writing the story imo. Just wondering why all the clerith's like the idea of a tragic ending to FFVII.

There are quite a few reasons that I don't consider Maiden canon: It wasn't written by anyone from Squeenix, and it wasn't supervised by Squeenix. It was only issued by them. The StudioBenstaff website even admits that Maiden is an "original interpretation" of the AerithxCloud relationship, so make of that what you will. Maiden also isn't a part of the "On the Way to a Smile" stories. The On the Way to a Smile stories are considered canon because they were written by Nojima (FFVII's writer), but Maiden has never been announced as canon. And Maiden never appears in any of the official guides, books, FFVII timelines, or official character profiles. Maiden also contradicts a fair few things in the games. Not only many player's interpretations of the love-triangle, but also actual facts ... Like Aerith speaking to Hojo in the Lifestream, when he hadn't even died at that point in the game. Maiden was wrong about the ages that Zack and Aerith met. It was also wrong about the fact that Aerith had no idea Zack was dead (she clearly sensed his death in CC, and didn't want to believe it. It shouldn't have come as a COMPLETE surprise to her that he was in the Lifestream with her). Maiden was also wrong in Aerith's interpretation of Cloud - she said she liked the "real Cloud" because he was a cool, confident and heroic SOLDIER. Now that doesn't sound like Cloud at all. More like a certain ... Zack! nicely put

	....ok people.....aerith loved zack with all her heart. We all know this. In my belief......Cloud simply reminded Aerith of Zack (probably because of the eyes) and pretty soon, probably brought old memories and feelings back that she couldnt suppress. I believe that aerith loved zack we found out several things from crisis core. Cloud only lied about his past because he was suppossed to be zacks "living legend". and he was only in soldier for one year before he and zack were captured. we know this because tifa said that he had been gone five. if you subtract the five years he was gone by the four he was captured....that leaves one. use your brains people. lol peace!

	she loves zack. cloud loves tifa end of story. he was just in love with a dream of himself and aeris i wouldnt say that he lied he was confused and lived the life zack wanted them both to live ------------------- Down on your knees i want you to beg for my forgiveness!!

Aerith says on the date with Cloud at the Gold Saucer that at first he reminded her of Zack, not just because of his eyes but because he took on Zack's personality and she saw him in Cloud. You seem to think that Cloud was aware that he had taken on Zack's personality. Again, if you played ffvii you would know that he was completely unaware of this and was shocked to learn that Zack was in the Nibelheim photo and not him. I could be wrong but I think that Hojo's experimenting screwed his head up a bit. quote prophra he was only in soldier for one year Cloud wasn't in SOLDIER at all, he was a ShinRa infantryman. Cloud thought he was in SOLDIER because he had taken on Zack's personality. Anyway, I think that FFVII made it quite clear that Aerith had moved on from Zack and was ready to start a relationship with Cloud. That was what made her death all the more devestating. There wouldn't be much point in killing her if it wasn't going to be a significant loss for Cloud.

Cloud falls through her roof. He reminds her of Zack. Why is this discussion still going? He summed up everything right there. ------------------- In this Dreamland, the kids are alright, and the sky is blue...
