Umm personally I'd say no.
For the original 3,000 bells you have to pay
I think it is a waste of money,
unless you get stung by bees or fall in pit falls a lot.
Which both can easily be avoided so it is all just
personal preference really.

I've never been paid by Lyle for falling in pit traps, only when I've gotten stung by bees.
And what about "falling down", how does that happen, during the winter or something?

the falling down thing also gets you 100 bells. i think the only way to do that is wear the cursed king tut wig (its name is just king tut wig, but the 'curse' makes you fall down). i would think that being attacked by a scorpion or tarantula would get you insurance money, but i dont know. also i think he will only mail money two letters at a time, so if you fall in two pitfalls and then get stung by bees it wastes the 100 bells you would get from being stung by bees.

also, i would mail those pitfalls to people instead of falling in them on purpose because you can get good items and fruits.

i hate lyle every time i walk out of my house on saturdays hes always there to follow you around and when you leave and come back hes STILL there!! but instead of getting stung by bees and buying medicine just save your game and exit than return to it and you will be fully healed!!
