Due to suggestions and requests, I’ve finally found the time to make a new graphics battles/gallery thread. That being said, there are a few rules that I would like you to abide by to keep this clean!

_*Galleries*_

1.) Instead of posting your graphics as you make them, they’ll be put into special “Galleries,” or one post. So the pages don’t get stretched out and ugly, you should put ten graphics per post.

To make that a little more clear, if you make a graphic you post it. Every time you make a new graphic, you edit the post and put it in there. Once you have ten graphics in your post, you can make a new post. Keep in mind that the double-posting rule still applies here.

I’ll be keeping track of the posts and updating my first post with links to the galleries, so people can easily find them when needed.

2.) You should name your graphics, or at least leave the code for them. This is because of rule number 3.

3.) You can feel free to comment on any of the graphics. If you are going to comment on one, please make it clear which one you’re commenting on. You could state the name of the graphic, or use the code given to put it right in your post. ^__^

4.) If you want to let people know that you edited your post and put in a new graphic, you can link to the post or just post again to let people know and request comments. You can even post the graphic again, just as long as EVERY graphic gets put into your gallery posts.

5.) Each submission you post MUST be your own. If it isn’t, you need to at least give credit to the actual creator, and make it obvious that you didn’t make it.

__COMMENTING__

If you’re commenting on pictures, please use constructive criticism only. This means if you tell someone you don’t like their graphic, tell them how they can make it better.

GOOD: I’m not a big fan of this one. If you changed the color of the font, it would look MUCH better! ^__^

BAD: I can’t stand it, remove it. Quit graphics making. The font color is horrible and needs to be changed.

_*Battles*_

1.) Every two weeks there will be a theme that you need to complete. Not every graphic you post has to be on this theme, but to win the actual contest it must be. ^__^

2.) How this will be judged is a little shaky right now, because I want to make sure it’s completely fair.

For now, people can just grade the pieces from 1 ((being the lowest)) to 10 ((being the highest)). I need to ask to ignore things like friendships when grading them, because it has to be fair for all, and nothing to do with a friendship and the like.

The winner will be chosen by either who gets the highest grade or who people want to win. The winner’s graphic will be featured in the header of the thread.

I know there are plenty of things I’ve forgotten, so let me know what I missed. ^__^

((_I decided to put this little tidbit in here to help people out with their graphics to make them look better. This is all personal opinion, so if you don’t agree with it, feel free to do what you like! ^__^_))

__BORDER__

Haha, you’ve all heard me say this a thousand times. Borders make graphics much better. It keeps your eyes focused on the picture and away from the rest of the page.

The coloring is hard to choose sometimes, or it can be rather easy. A border is best matched with the color of the font. If it doesn’t show up too well, it looks great if you do a different version as one of the main colors on the graphic.

Sometimes it looks best with more than one px, but one px borders look the best. ((px = Pixel))

The border doesn’t have to be around the picture, or completely around it. If you have a border that’s a few px inside the picture but surrounds more than half of it, it can sometimes look better like that.

__USING PEOPLE PICS__

If you’re using a picture of a person in your graphic, it’s important to stay clear of the face. If you cover even a tiny piece of it with something like text or otherwise, it really takes away from the picture.

The face is the focal point of the graphic, and if you take that away it brings down the quality. So try to steer clear of that!

__SIZE__

When you make a graphic, sometimes it’s better to make them small. If you make it too big, you’ll need to have a lot of things in there to fill in the empty space. Having huge spaces where there isn’t anything to look at can bring down the quality of the graphic, and if you fill it in with too many things there become more focal points. So it’s best to keep the graphics small.

__FONT__

When you choose the color for your font, you want to make sure that it stands out perfectly. If people have a hard time trying to read what it says, or it blends in too well, it’ll take away from the pictures.

Well I belive I wrought the 24th but I feel I will judge on the 28th witch gives you teo days!!!

this took me about 10 minuites for the actual thing, finding the right tiara for nami was TORTURE! lol, still though, i'd like a good mark C&C?
