1. Download the 1.50 eboot here
2. Put it on your PSP in this directory

3. When you enter recovery mode, go to "Start program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/eboot.pbp"
That will start the update to 1.50. You can do this if you want to go back to 1.50 or if you brick and need to go back to 1.50.

I ran a google run on both files, Capture1.bin can apparently be deleted as it has nothing to do with the PSP, though it's recommended you make a back up of the file on your PC just in case. I got this from here: link. It's Dutch so you if you really want to know what it says you probably need a translator.
Win386.swp seems to be a Windows 9x swapfile, I have no idea what to do with it and how it got on your PSP.

If it's alright, and if it hasn't already been mentioned, I'd like to recommend another program for PS1 game loading alongside PSX2PSP, as I couldn't get my copy to work (it's probably just my computer). This one is Icetea. Pretty much does what PSX2PSP does, just with a different interface (and separate tabs instead of everything in the same place). Still, great program to use.

That file is inside your PSPs Flash0. You can obtain it by going into Recovery mode>Advanced and activating Flash0 USB access.

As long as you have the recovery menu showing up, your not screwed. Either give me your email through PM and I will give you the original file or I can help you through recovery.

The Red text in the tutorials is red for a reason Be careful and always backup, especially with Flash0.

Okay, I've got a hex editor, Hex Workshop. Now which things can I edit, and which can't I? How many should I edit?

How do you get the background to be black on the PSP? I don't see any choice for it in the themes.
