PSP (Original) Analog Stick Problem
|
Hi! I've been trying to find answers for this but I can only find questions about "Drifting" (which isn't what I'm talking about), so I'll ask here.
I'm playing Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, and when I move the analog stick fully UP (to run), my character walks (as if I only have the analog stick partially up)
Any ideas on what I should do?
Thanks!

You can try the trick that involves going to the System Information screen, if you've found that. It may help. Or, if you have homebrew, try fixing it with Joysens.
I believe you want the same advice you would get for drifting: you want to remind the stick where its center is.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply! The "System Information" thing didn't work I'm afraid, thanks anyway!
I'm a COMPLETE newbie at hacking PSP, well, any consoles for that matter. Is there a full step-by-step guide on how to get Hombrew and Joysens?
Thanks!

Yes!It could be quite out of date, and depends on your model and firmware, but it's all there if you have a poke around. Note that it's possible to break your PSP, so read the warnings!

I don't know if you will have fixed the problem yet but the usually the best way to fix it is to pull it up slightly out of the psp so it is raised slightly and then blow strongly underneath it.
The reason this works is because the drifting stick is usually caused by dust on the thingy underneath the stick which tricks the system into think you're moving it.
I've had the same problem that's why I why I know this works.
