Are you sure it isn't homebrewed? Try turning it off completely, then starting it while holding R.
Then, maybe try this.

Does the system information screen say you've got version 2.82?

It sounds like some sort of software error.
Try this:
-Take out the PSP's battery. Put it back in and start it up while holding the R trigger the whole time. Just to make sure you definitely don't have recovery mode.
-If you're sure you can't update it with an official firmware update, the only option may be to get homebrew. If something's wrong, homebrew will fix it. Then use this guide!

It seems like the only way. Either you have a broken custom firmware install, or your regular firmware has some issue. I think homebrewing is the way to go.

I cant get ChickHEN to install on my PSP ive seen youtube videos and read forums i tried everything they told me to do but no result. Ive been trying to do it for hours can you please give me some tips for it???
