3000 vs. GO

Hey everybody, finally remembered to register so I thought I would start with this. Im finally getting my first psp, although it will be used/refurbished cause I cant afford a new one. Anyway I know everyone says the 3000 is better but I heard the GO is more comfortable, can somebody shed some light on this?

I have MHF2 but only cause my folks didnt know It was psp only. I also heard some games, like MHFU, are harder to play on the GO? Is it because of the claw?

I would still need a memory stick, while with the GO I still need a game. Since the 3 free games offer is a sony deal could I still get it on a used GO? Sorry for so many questions, but thanks for the help guys.

They're different machines for different people. The 3000 has a slightly bigger screen, and its main selling point was the screen which is said to greatly reduce glare (probably a life saver on trains/busses). You will need a memory stick for a 3000, but they're cheap now anyway.
The Go is very different, its got a different design, an internal hard drive, you can put a memory stick in but it's a different type of stick, and it takes a different type of USB cable as well. It's not the same as either of the three previous PSP generations. The main talking point is the fact that it can't take UMD discs, you have to download games for it. This could be important for you: if your parents bought you Monster Hunter on disc, the Go won't be able to play it.

Monster Hunter games have always been difficult, but manageable, because of the claw. I think some people say it's a bit harder on the Go, but hey, it wasn't easy to begin with. You should remember that, on the Go, you can use a PS3 dualshock controller. This means that, while it's a bit more difficult on the go, when you're playing it at home it's going to be much easier IF you have that controller.

I'd say the 3 free games deal is to encourage Go purchases, and thus you almost certainly wouldn't get it on a used Go. That said, are you really going to be able to find a used Go? They aren't that old, and didn't even sell that strongly. Sure there'd be used ones around from dissatisfied customers, but that many?

Sorry, I should have told you guys I already know about the different features for each of the psp models. Didnt know about the different usb cord thought. Some people say the GO sucks and others say its more comfortable than a 3k, so just though I should ask.
After all the point of a portable system is playing on the go, so if its uncomfortable doing so why bother?

Im just going to stick to plan A, PS3 controler support and built in memory isnt worth a umd drive. I didnt think the sony deal would work on a used GO anyway, But you gauys would know more about that tha me. As for used GOs, Ive seen a few around and I agree that most people bought them but didnt like them. Thats why I considered getting one, since alot of them were probably hardly used.
