I need much more help organising PSP Filer. Trying to figure out a way so that every time I add new programs "stuff" to my PSP, that it won't bump certain "stuff" further down the memory stick list when I load it.

No clue about RemaPSP. Make sure it's enabled in options.

There's a menu in PSPFiler to change the order of games in the XMB. Look around.

Cwcheat's remaPSP is a little tricky to get to work. First try all the provided scripts. Pick one that works. Then use a hex editor like XVI32 to replace buttons in the script. If you use a regular text editor like Notepad, I've found that on most occasions the script doesn't work. The buttons just get disabled on loading remaPSP.
However, there are a few games with which remaPSP doesn't work. For example, Killzone Liberation and Rock Band.

I actually figure out how to get it working. Turns out I wasn't looking in the right spots, but now it's all good.

Some games may require it, for example, N+ severely *bleep*ed up my X button. I'm using RemaPSP to change the X button to something like Square or R so I'm not constantly mashing and ruining my X button.

This occasionally happens when it's trying to load too much. It's not a big issue and you can change most settings in the recovery mode. I wouldn't worry too much as it's hardly ever used in my opinion.

Well, there is one way, but it's sorta risky. You need to trick your PS3 into thinking your PSP has a higher version than 5.03. Namely, 5.50. You'll need to edit a file in your Flash memory.
Make a text file called version.txt. Puth this in it:

Restart, re-do ChickHEN, enable CFW, you know the drill.
Hopefully, the PSP will connect to the PS3!

Newbie having trouble.

So my friend custom firmwared my PSP yesterday and said it was working fine.

I booted it up this morning and it was working fine until I pressed select (dunno if that has anything to do with it) and now the XMB jitters and wobbles and then eventually freezes.

It does this everytime I boot up my PSP.

I've taken the battery out and I'm not touching it atm. Any ideas?

Your CPU speed may be set too low. Read the Recovery Menu section of this guide for information on how to change it to a higher value.

There is a reason most users of Remote Play don't upgrade their PS3s, and that's because it'll break compatibility. There is no update that I know of that's currently out.
