The Yankees are going to call up Joba Chamberlain sometime this week to join the bullpen. They say his stuff is as good as Phil Hughes. (some even say he's better then Hughes)

The Yankees today took a significant step toward making Joba Chamberlain a part of their bullpen down the stretch when they took him out of the rotation at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Chamberlain, who struck out 10 over five innings Wednesday in his Scranton debut, was scratched from his expected start Monday night and moved to a relief role.

Senior VP of baseball operations Mark Newman said Chamberlain will pitch one inning in tomorrow's game in Rochester, then likely have a day off before throwing another inning in Wednesday's game.

"We're going to see how he responds to it and see how he feels," Newman said, "and see if he's an option at the major league level."

I don't know if this is a good idea, though. Chamberlain has always been a starter, and Torre plans to use him in relief for the remainder of the year. I wonder how it's going to work out.

That could mean the Gange deal is not going to be in the works, or thats what they may be hinting at. It could depend on how he does in the Penn though.

AL East worst team in baseball? LOL...

Funny thing is, the East doesn't look like much but with the power that division has, I'd bet you my life that teams like the Mariners, A's or Twins wouldn't last a *bleep*ing week in that division. They'd get stomped. The East may not be totally dominating the MLB like we normally do but the Red Sox and Yankees will still make any other division twice as strong by joining it.

And I got the point of that post dude, I'm not dumb. I just like to make you all pissy. And it works all the time. You remind me of this chick I used to date, I used to piss her off on purpose just so I could hear her act all pissy. I miss those days. Good times, good times.

By the way, its nice having the best record in baseball.

Take the regular season. I don't care if you took all 6 from us. Cause guess what? What matters is the playoffs son. Go ask the 2001 Mariners. Regular season doesn't mean jack. In a playoff series, I'd have absolute ZERO worries if we faced the Mariners. Zero. Despite them taking 4 of 6 from us, not 5 of 6 good old pal.

Besides, you're saying 6 games is equal to a full season in the AL East? Good one! I'm just laughing at your ignorance when it comes to baseball.

Over the course of a season, none of those teams would last in the AL East. Fact.

By the way, we took 4 of 6 from the Braves a good team, 2 of 3 at Arizona a pretty decent team, 3-0 against the Angels a good team, 2 of 3 at San Diego a pretty decent team, we've played Detroit even a good team, 4 of 6 from Cleveland a good team.

Now from looking at that, I'd say we do pretty well against good teams. A combined 19-10 against those teams.

You just said Seattle wouldn't do well in the East, and then you jump and talk about the playoffs? Is that the only thing you know how to do when someone bashes the Red Sox? Because you won a championship a few seasons back, you think you're a playoff powerhouse? By that logic, I'd say New York would rape you guys if they snuck in as the Wild Card.

Seattle is 18-10 against the AL East. We're better against your division than the Central and West.

We've handled ourselves quite nicely. Good job.

And I never said Boston wasn't a good team, but they are helped by the fact that they are in a weak division. You're blind if you cant see that, or just ignorant.

Okay, lets take this step by step so you understand:

You say Seattle would suck in the East

I say Seattle is 18-10 against your division

You ramble on about the playoffs again


I'm not talking about the playoffs, obviously. Fact is, your division isn't very good, and Boston wouldn't have the same record in another one.

Oh, but you also said that Oakland would suck in the East, right?

Oakland: 16-13 against East (49-56 overall)

Strange. Not a very good team overall, but are pretty efficient against the East. How strange.

Up until Boston lucked out and won the Championship a few years back, what had they done? I love how you use one single event to try and prove an argument. Before your title, Seattle had the most recent success over Boston in the playoffs. We had made the AL Championship game multiple times.

You cant single out two teams and judge the entire division by them either. Oh wait, lets look at this:


Seattle + Anaheim: Winning Percentage (.573)
New York + Boston: Winning Percentage (.571)


Wow, look at that. By your logic, the AL West is better.
