Team of the Week: Italian Soccer team

The Italian Soccer team finished of France and ended France's Zidane's perfect exit from Soccer. The game went into overtime tied at 1 a piece and after still being tied after the overtime, the game went to penalty kicks which Italy won 5-3. Its Italy's 4th World Cup title, second to Brazil's 5 titles.

Yeah, we did win. Everyone around here is going nuts. Horns are blaring outside, flags are everywhere it's freaking crazy, haha. Our defense played great, Buffon was unstoppable. Madoula and Zidane will be remembered as disgraces.

I really enjoyed the World Cup and am sad it's over. Italy deserved the championship and Zindane's poor decision to head-butt makes me less sympathetic for their lose. I hope next Cup FIFA decides to do something to eliminate games being decided by penalty kicks. At least from the second round through finals. Maybe allow more than just three subs or another overtime period. Maybe even golden goal after the first two overtime periods have been played.

That's stupid for the Refferee to give Zidane a red card because none of the Ref's saw the hit, they just saw it on the screen in the stadium. And the Italian player must of said something pretty bad for Zidane to Head-Butt him.

That's bullshit.

First of all, I dont care how the referees decided that what Zidane did was wrong. If they missed the actual occurance, then I am glad they got a second look at such a dirty play.

Second, it does not even matter what Materazzi said to Zidane. You CANNOT pull off such a disgraceful move when you're known as one of the greatest soccer players ever and are playing in your last game. He will forever be remembered for being tossed out of his final game.

This isn't the first time that Zidane has pulled a chicken shit maneuver though. A few years back he stepped on the back of a Saudi Arabia player and got suspended for a couple games.

Only us Italians have enough Rock Hard abilities to win the world cup. I smear feces on to the faces of the French.

Besides, they had been going at it the entire match, and Materazzi must've said something that made him finally snap.

As happy as I am for Italy, it's a shame France lost, as it would've been the perfect end to ZZ's career.

That's the STUPIDEST thing I've ever heard. I bet that ref would have rather eaten a bug then red card one of the greatest players of all times in the last game of their career during the World Cup finals when the game is in extra time. Yes, I'm sure that made him feel real good. I love Zindane just as mush as the next guy. Bottom line; he gave the ref absolutely no choice. If the ref didn't red card him then he might have been looking for a job. It's quite an honor to ref a final game during the World Cup and they don't pick these guys names out of a hat. The earn the right to ref the final game by their performance earlier in the tournament.
