Seriously, I don't see why he didn't try to inflict as much as pain as possible. Melvin had him in two chokeholds, yet Josh got out. Then Josh had mounted his back and could have put him in a rear-chokehold as well but every, single time he just let Melvin slip out. These fighters suck; I hate it when they talk so much shit before their bouts and then 'wimp out' when they get inside the octagon. Melvin was no exception. Even though he messed up a few opportunities to win via submission, he missed that HUGE opportunity to capitalize on a potential KO. Matt Hughes said it best about not being able to take mediocre fighters and make them great. The next episode looks good though, because we can expect Josh out as you said. I'm all for weening out the crap, but Christ, 5 in just a matter of days? -------------------

	You do need to remember that Melvin broke his hand in the second round, though he didn't tell anyone about it. I really want to see this Luke guy fight. All the guys said he was a wimp at first, but int he training session in did a five minute wall sit during his break, and he managed to hold down two guys in the first challenge so his team could win. ------------------- Find the secret message in my post and I will sign your GB

	That's a good sign, don't want it to be totally ruined from episode 1. Ratings-wise, this Monday's episode did a 1.8, which is slightly higher than the season premiere (1.7). The Raw right before did a 3.8, down from last week. The closer they can get to 2-2.5, the better for them. Edit: Week 2 opinion poll results on Wrestling Observer: Went both ways, as now over 50% of respondents said "Good". 20.8% said "Excellent", 19.8% "Average", 5.2% "Fair", just 3.1% "Poor". But the flip side: Over 50% who responded said "Didn't See The Show", up about 3% from last week despite the fact a few more people saw it as indicated in the ratings. 	hey, I seriously know rich franklin. He is from my home town the nasty 'nati, the orginal cin city, Cincinnati, Ohio!!! Ok, anyways, I do know him and I know Jorge. I think I spelled that right. And I know what happens to atleast him, during the season. Not everything but the big thing(s). I don't want to post it hear because it might be a spoiler and I haven't warned anyone before hand. If I get enough people who want to know then I'll tell. Now let me explain. No one is to tell what happened during the taping so that the results don't get released. I have seen Jorge but have not talked to him. I know that he would not tell me anything. I know my info from one of his students that is a close friend of mine. I asure you that my sources are correct and that my info is right. Overall, I'm looking forward to seeing Anthony fight. He's a welterweight, the asian looking one.

	I'm disappointed with the show as a whole; the "survivor" angle is annoying. If I wanted to watch people back-stab each other, I'd watch Survivor. I'm here to watch people train to be future UFC fighters, occasionally bicker with one another, then settle it in the octagon. Where'd all that 'strategy' get them? The dumbass picked Matt Hughes best Welter-weight fighter and LOST! .. And he didn't just lose, he got his ASS BEAT!! bleeping idiot. I'm going for Matt Hughes team now and I'm going for the guy who won tonight's fight to win the Welter-weight contract; he's the only one to step into the octagon, kick ass, and come out unharmed. (I didn't think that was possible this season SHOCKED ). Plus I'm waiting to see that one guy crack under all the abuse Matt Hughes is giving him each week. I'd so love to see him snap and call Hughes out and then get his ass kicked and sent home. -------------------

	Last week's fight was good, but this week's fight was bleeping pathetic. This show just sucks and each week it gets worse. I'd say next week's episode looks good, but I've been saying that to all the previews only to be bear witness to a lackluster show. I know they're taking applications at UFC's official site for the third season, but I'd be very surprised to see it get greenlit. -------------------

	The previews made this week's show look like it was going to be actually good... ha ha, yeah f'ing right. Boring fight and Rashad just kept backing away while his opponent didn't bother much with defending himself. 	It's not "somewhat" related when it IS the same thing. But we have different threads, one for the contract competition (which you are in) and one for the actual UFC events (which is where you need to go). And yes, I will be watching tonight's episode; I'm just hoping the fight is actually ... I don't know ... GOOD this week. Perhaps that's asking too much though? -------------------

Both competitors went in there and gave it their all. They went in there holding nothing back and even though I was wanting Jason to win, I had to give props to Jorge for coming back at the end of the third round. Great fight. The last two Welterweight bouts have been good (this and the prior fight when Joe Stevenson bleeped up Marcus Davis. Now if only the Heavyweights can improve, but I think Mike Whitehead will put on a good match. Something tells me he'll be a good fighter and take the contract. One thing that pissed me off is how Franklin was being "smart" and forfeited the competition. It wasn't being "smart" it was just plain pathetic and Jorge's little tantrum was as well. -------------------

	I was really rooting for Jorge in the fight tonight, but oh well. The fight I am really looking forward too is when Luke eventually gets to fihgt. He is the most interesting character on the show to me, and I have barely even seen him in the last two episodes. I am really losing tons of respect for Matt Hughes now. He was by favorite fighter next to Liddel before this show, but I am dissapointed in him. He just keeps show-boating, and then he gets on Rashad's back for it. I still love his fights, though.
