Sergei Kharitonov (Russian Top Team) defeated Pedro Rizzo (Ruas Vale Tudo) via KO in round 1.

Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (Chute Boxe) defeated Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (Brazilian Top Team) via unanimous decision.

Alistair Overeem (Golden Glory) submitted Igor Vovchanchyn with a standing guillotine in round 1.

Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic defeated Ibragim Magomedov (Red Devil Fight Club) via KO in round 1. Cro Cop kicked Magonmedov in the ribs.

After the fight, Fedor walked down with his belt and agreed to fight Cro Cop on August 28.

Kiyoshi Tamura (U-File) defeated Makoto Takimoto (Yoshida Dojo) via unanimous decision.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (Brazilian Top Team) defeated Pawel Nastula (Olympic Judo Gold Medalist) via referree stoppage (strikes) in round 1.

Ricardo Arona (Brazilian Top Team) defeated Kazushi Sakuraba (Takada Dojo) via TKO in round 2. Sakuraba's corner threw in the towel. Sakuraba's face was a complete mess and had to be walked out of the ring with a red towel over his head.

Wanderlei Silva (Chute Boxe) defeated Kazuhiro Nakamura (Yoshida Dojo) via referee stoppage (strikes) in round 2. Nakamura wore a blue gi.

I just want to see Leben and Bonnar winning, plus Koscheck losing.

Just some comments on UFC after watching a good part of the Live Fight Night on Spike this past Saturday: The TV presentation was exceptionally poor. They often abruptly cut in & out of commercials between matches (at least on Comcast here in Washington), the commentary really lacked energy, there was some editing despite being live (a few profanities like *bleep* & bulls*** were muted) and generally the fights weren't that good. Some were decent but the Main Event was worse than a WWE Diva Search segment-the crowd booed the guys to death because they tried to avoid each other! Overall, thumbs barely in the middle because there were a couple of fairly good fights, but they really failed to win me over as a regular.

A couple of follow-up notes I just read: The Salaverry-Marquadt fight from Saturday will not be seen during the repeat airing Thursday night...yes, my fellow smarks, it sucked that bad. You'd get more excitement trying to fight yourself. The Kenny Florian vs. Alex Karalexis match that some were saying was the best match of the show will be put in instead. Also, the live show on Spike drew a 1.5 rating, which can be considered major disappointing. That's about 1.1 million viewers.
