The Colts haven't gone against a more-than-decent defense this postseason yet, so they haven't proven themselves. They'll probably think that they'll be able to do the same things against the Pats, which is highly unlikely.

Plus, the deep pass the Colts rely so heavily on isn't going to be very effective if its the same temperature it was on Saturday. And since the Pats have such a strong run defense, the Colts only option is to throw short passes. And considering the speed of the Patriots defense especially their linebackers, the short passes may not be very effective either. I'll pick Patriots by 10.

By Ten? That's giving way too much. Their first meeting in the regular season, the Patriots won 38-34 with a goaline stand to end the game. 4 Plays, 1 yard to go, 0 yards gained. After watching the Patriots/Titans game, they will be happy pulling out a 3 point win vs the Colts. In the cold weather, I'm going to say it's going to be a low scoring game too. I'm going to say 21 to 20.

I think he's been consistent enough in the past 2 games, and those past post-season losts mean nothing now. Even if he doesn't play the same way he did in the past 2 games next week that means nothing, because he is currently playing phenomenally well, and playing like that in 3 games in a row, let alone 2 games or even 1 game is no easy task. And to call his past 2 games a possible fluke is giving the man no credit for what he has done. Win or loose Sunday, I doubt it will be because of his previous post-season losts.

As far as the "Peyton Manning bandwagon," I live in Indiana, and have been routing for the Colts and the Bears every weekend.

As to someone's comments on the KC/Colts game earlier: I wouldn't go as far as to say that both defenses played "horribly," when you have the top 2 scoring teams in the league going up against each other, with mediocre defenses, its going to be a high scoring affair.

I would. There were no punts in that game. Indianapolis might as well have been perfect on their third down conversions, and the Chiefs weren't far behind. Watching that game, I would say both defenses could have been picked apart by a high school quarterback. The fact that two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL were playing in that game made it embarassing. The Colts defense made some okay stops, but couldn't step up when they needed to. The Chiefs defense (if that's what you call it, it would have been better to build a brick wall at the fifty yard line...) couldn't tackle in the open field, cover recievers, yadda yadda yadda...

I think Manning really is going to have trouble with the Patriots defense. Whether it's enough to stop his obvious momentum, I don't know. I don't like the luck tandem of Manning and Tony Dungy though...those guys must have broken a lot of mirrors or walked under a whole bunch of ladders as kids.

I am not even going to look at the last meeting between these two teams. Mainly because that game was in Indianapolis, and because the Patriots also turned the ball over a bunch of times. I do not think that will happen again. I am also going to come out and say TOM BRADY IS THE BEST QUARTERBACK IN FOOTBALL. You can quote me on that one. Nobody performs better in big games than he does.

Peyton Manning?? Well, I just dont like the guy. He has had a great year, but I want to see how he does in this game. If he does better than Brady and the Colts win, then I will give him the respect that he deserves. Brady deserved the MVP award just as much as Manning or McNair though.

The Colts are going to need their punter this week..The Pats wont be giving up 30+ points. I would love to see the Colts lose by their "idiot kicker" missing his first FG of the year. That would be great.
