Thats irrelevant. You don't need to win a SB each season to remain an elite team. Each season, people talk out of their asses about how THIS IS THE YEAR THE PATS FINALLY DECLINE yet they're always right there at the end of the season.

Texans won't make it btw. I'd put money on that. I would say Baltimore but they have too many issues on defense which means the game falls on Flacco's shoulders each week and he's hardly the guy you want to rely to win you games. Plus, he sucks on the road.

It'll be Patriots or Steelers representing the AFC. Quote me on that.

He's even worse on the road, which is going to kill them because the Steelers are likely to win the division.

Bears Texans game is underway. I'm thinking the Bears will come out on top if their defense continues to play the way they have.

There's no way for this not to sound like sour grapes, but I can't help but feel that if Cutler doesn't get injured the Bears at least take the Texans into overtime. Texans were the only top tier team to pull out a win this week. Alas.

This was a rough day for QB's. Also Denver's defense got me 50 points on my fantasy team, what the hell happened in that game?

The weather in Chicago was terrible throughout tonight's game, and there's no doubt in my mind that the quality of play for both teams was affected as a result of rainfall for the duration of the game.

And it was indeed a rough day for QB's, with both Michael Vick and Jay Cutler leaving their respective games due to concussions.

To summarize, Denver's defense had a much better day than Cam Newton did, as the Broncos Special Teams had a 76-YD TD Punt Return from Trindon Holliday; their Defense had a 40-YD Interception Return TD from Tony Carter. Cam Newton was sacked seven times for a total of 43 Yards Lost, one of which in the end zone by Mike Adams for a Safety.

Cam Newton was also picked a second time. Perhaps the game's box score can yield more info, but those are the big factors (that I can think of) as to why the Broncos D yielded 50 Fantasy Points.

Way too much Pats love in this thread. Brady is great and their offense is awesome and all, but they aren't as good as they were last year. That's obvious by the results of the Cards, Jets, and Bills games. All at home, and they couldn't put any of them away. It's a simple gameplan to beat the Patriots, just keep the ball on offense against that mediocre at best defense. Texans have the perfect pieces for that.

As a Texan fan, the only team in the AFC I feel threatened by at the moment is the Steelers. Big Ben is starting to click lately and if they can keep their running backs going I could easily see them in the Super Bowl.

That's where the Patriots aren't as good as they have been in years' past: defense, especially in the secondary. I've seen too many moments this season in which the Patriots have given up some plays that have left me scratching my head.

Their offense saved the day--without that offense the Patriots would not have beaten the Bills on this day. And they cannot play that way next week against the Indianapolis Colts because if they do, I can't see the Patriots winning that game (and I've been a Patriots fan since early childhood).

Here's something you don't see everyday: the 49ers and Rams played to a tie, the first one since 2008.

I wan't to know what happened to San Francisco over the past twelve hours. That was horrible.

I didn't get to see the full Rams vs. 49ers game, but I watched Overtime and it was one big cluster*bleep*.

On the Rams very first play Bradford made an 80 yard completion and it wasn't until the very end of the play that the refs called an illegal formation.

Then during one of the 9ers drive, they had to pull out the chains and no one stopped the clock, which meant about a minute and a half was lost. And that drive ended with the 9ers missing a 41 FG attempt.

Then the Rams made a 53 yard attempt but then a delay of game was called after the ball was already in the air. I didn't even notice a penalty until after the ball made it through the uprights. Then the kicker missed on the 58 yard attempt.

After that, 9ers got to 4th down and punted. By this time it was like a minute and some change left. Then sometime during the Rams drive, apparently the refs screwed up positioning, so the clock ran for some time even after the Rams spiked it and everyone just confusedly scrambled to the line to spike it again. And then the Rams got another delay of game like 3 seconds after the snap, which pretty much sealed the deal.

I'm a pretty casual football watcher but that really left a bad taste in my mouth. It wasn't necessarily a fix, but the refs just looked too slow with a lot of the calls. It looked really sloppy.
