The volleyball is ridiculous. I'm gonna be all over that shit this year.

Bring it in, ladies. American women trying for the comeback in the third set for a sweep against Brazil in the prelims (volleyball). Edit: roll baby, roll. No sweep, but win in 4 sets. Last two matches were much more intense than the first two. Edit: Jul 30, 12 11:22am

Iirc you can only play right handed in field hockey and the sticks are too short, among other bogus rules.
Yeah, Desiree Hooker is good (I pity her whole family for that last name), and I swear Larson has the best serve I've ever seen from a woman. She buries that shit.

Yeah Toby. In both sports I have actually enjoyed the women's game more because there is more...defense, i guess. In men's, the players are just so big and strong that it is just a matter of who makes the fewest mistakes.

I don't like anything that is "judged" like gymnastics and such. I have really enjoyed all the events where the win Ing criteria is clear: most goals, best time, etc. Beach volleyball is solid (mostly men's because there are way too many errors in the women's), and ping pong and badminton are ridiculous to watch at the Olympic level.

The US would have won anyways, but the Russian slipups made it a blowout.
US women vs china, indoor volleyball, 3pm EST/Noon PST on NBC. Bring it.

Aw yeah, three set victory over China in women's indoor volleyball. The third set was absolutely ridiculous.

I always get a kick out of the powerwalking, it's a great spectator sport, especially on TV when you can hear the commentary and their strange reasoning for why one guy is running and the one next to him isn't. I'm pretty sure that with slow motion we can see that everyone is actually "running", it's just who can hide it the best.
Looking forward to track & field, but really I just want to see the volleyball elimination rounds get started.

Bolt may go for the WR in the 200. That's really his strength because his "slow" starts mean even less with that distance.
