I doubt the Hornets will make the playoffs this year. Even if Gordon stays healthy and becomes the player he's been showing flashes of, the West is too deep and they're too young. They're lacking size even with Davis and that's what gets most teams far. Teams like Houston and Minnesota probably have the greatest chances of making the playoffs of all the non-playoff teams from this year. Jarret Jack's a really good player though, and him and Gordon should make a good back court.

I'm not so sure about the Rockets. The addition of Marcus Camby back in March was a smart move, Jordan Hill wasn't doing much with them averaging I think no more than 4 points a game but I still feel like the Rockets need to make some smart trades in the off-season to be contenders. Although having a first pick in the draft here on Thursday doesn't hurt their chances either.

As for the T-Wolves, they need to start putting players around Love. Rubio was a fantastic addition to the team, but with him out most of this past season, one more consistent and young player with Love would make them contenders easily come next April.

And with Davis out indefinitely with that knee injury from game 4 against Miami it's not looking good for them

I remember reading something this morning about JR Smith declining his second year contract option to be a free agent, probably just so he can get the whatever percent it is salary bump. I don't see the Knicks not re-signing for a one year deal but personally I think the Knicks shouldn't re-sign him. Poor shot selection and his inability to pass the ball, coupled with Melo's inability to pass isn't a recipe for success, much less success in the playoffs.
