Yup, incredibly low maintenance in a small hockey market like Florida. Not too often you hear about someone trying to play in a smaller market.

Now if that #2 pick were Crosby or Malkin I would do it in a heartbeat.

Oates, Sakic, Bure, and Sundin are all being inducted into the HOF.

Oates is also named Head Coach of Washington.

I think that it's different at different stages. When you're actually playing the game you will be gunning for that Cup, especially if you haven't got one yet. A 21-year old kid who is new to the game wouldn't give a second thought to the HHOF, but if you're a 35-year old veteran without a Cup then you'd be just as desperate for one as well. I don't think players think about the HHOF until after their careers, and at that point it's more of one final recognition of their contribution to the game. I don't think players strive to get into the HHOF, but if they end up there then it just caps off what would have to have been a great career.

In the long run, the HHOF. That means I've excelled above and beyond my peers consistently for the majority of my career. Scrubs and fourth liners that play a year or two get Stanley Cups.
